Here a quick tldr; for the people, who just woke up from their yearly beauty sleep:

• Blizzard promised a sequel, which main focus is PvE and other life improvements
  
• Said it sadly isn't finished but they would like to release the game early
  and add it later
  
  
• Game came out, game feels way too similiar to Overwatch 1 but with one major change
  & addition:

The Shop
-You now have to buy characters and skins via micro transactions.
New heroes were free in Overwatch 1 & cosmetics were reasonable earnable with ingame currency.
In Overwatch 2 skins & heroes mostly cost up to 20€ at least.

But for the dedicated players, who want to earn these things like in the first game, they added:

The Battlepass
-Two versions exist, a free and a paid pass
-The free one does not give you nearly enough currency to buy anything in the shop
-The paid one doesn't give you that much either but lets you earn the new hero after hard grinding the pass to almost the end of it. If you want to learn how the new hero plays in a real scenario early, then tough luck, you should buy it instead.
The other rewards are mostly sprays or skins, which most do not care about.

• Months passed & players weren't too thrilled but had their hopes up for the new PvE mode, which they even showed a bit at BlizzCon.
  
  
• New season arrives & in a quick showcase of what is to come, they casually announced the cancellation of the PvE mode.
  
  
• Players were upset & now fully saw that Overwatch 2 was not just a strong downgrade to the first one but they have been fully lied uppon due to false marketing & promises.
  As an excuse Blizzard added old PvE content, which was the exact same boring PvE events players had in Overwatch but you now have to pay money for them.

And here we are, a few months passed & Blizzard turned desperate and had to release it on Steam, their rival game platform.
If you are a fan of Overwatch and want a change then don't just buy things in the new shop:

Do not even play the game
The game industry has hit an all time low and the standard needs to change.

Hatred comes from caring and caring comes from love.
There is nothing wrong to critique or "review bomb" a mess like this.
If you would like a potential change then do not give it any sense of attention whatsoever.



The only thing I would like to say personally as a former fan to blizzard.
