Where do I start...
This game is unresponsive. It has an convoluted button layout that you CAN NOT freely change to your desire.
It has no feedback on whatever you do in the game, you never know in what state you are, did you just hit a combo? Can you quick recover from that launch? Can you follow up on that launch?

The combat loop is boring as hell, mash square, mash it some more, hold R2 and press circle/square/triangle, go back into holding R2 to repeat the whole process if you are not about to eat the enemies square mash attempt. Repeat. Every. Single. Character plays like this. They may have archetypes but this seems to be the most effective route. No skill in anything whatsoever, specially if you play with assists on.

No variance in KI bars aswell, everyone has 5 bars of KI and you spend KI on pretty much anything you do besides moving normally and attacking with square. The whole game is a resource manager which isn't even fun because it is spent so quickly and you revert to screaming at your opponent to charge up while they do the same and you go back into the same vanish > mash square loop.

The game may look good, the game may seem indepth but nothing of that will be relevant with how unresponsive the game is, how unintuitive the controls feel, how boring all the characters feel as they are all quite the same.

One of the biggest disappointments this year.

Anime Monster Hunter.
It is very simple to get into and offers a very deep dive into min maxing the ♥♥♥♥ out of your character.
You can play it casually and enjoy most of the game with ease or you can go hard and dominate every enemy in this game.
If you are a fan of action rpg's or beat'em ups, this is right up your alley.
Story was just long enough for me not to get bored by it and people complaining about localization or shallow story really need to think about how much else this game offers and that in comparison, those points mentioned don't even matter or are bad, they are coping hard.
The biggest downside of this game is probably its auto-camera (turn it off) and it's lock-on (its very inaccurate on what you actually want it to do versus what it does).
Another downside is that if you use a Dualshock 5 controller (PS5) on PC and you tab out often from the game, your controller will eventually not respond ingame anymore or have delayed response. The only fix for this is to close the game and steam and then restart the game. Very annoying if you are a multitasker.

Game gets a 10/10 regardless of the cons.

Challenging solo-campaign game.
Fun assembling of your own AC (your robot)
Interesting weapons and overall gameplay choices.
11/10 Soundtrack
Current to next Gen Graphics with insane optimisation.
Replayability guaranteed. (and not because you have to grind)
Don't know what to say to this 10/10 game than what I just did.

Edit:
This game holds up even after finishing it for the first time. Its fun to explore again with new weapons and more unlocked pieces of equipment.
PvP is also very fun, even if a little harder to get into (players are even harder than some PvE bosses, who would've thought?!)
