Early Access Review
I had to launch the game 3 times to get past 3 separate launchers' issues.

I load up into the map, I look around, I like the atmosphere and the vibes I'm getting from the game, I deal with some stragglers on the outskirts of the map, the game definitely has some jank but it's enjoyable so far... until I experience the spawn system of the game. You could clear a suburban street, but 10s of zombies respawn when you aren't looking...

Shoving/kicking doesn't achieve anything satisfactory, zombies are running at your throat, hitting from meters ahead.
If you take your time to kite them and kill them, by the time you return to the area, new ones will have already respawned in the same spot.
By the time I could loot a small shack that is 2 by 2 meters, zombies respawned 3 times outside the building, excluding the first time that I've cleared it...

Unreal Engine being Unreal Engine, aka Slop Engine, pushing the computer to its limits without offering anything substantial in the graphics or gameplay department while being ripe with performance issues. Uncanny broken texture streaming, shaders.

The game starts out extremely frustrating due to the design philosophy, honestly it will infuriate you if you try, but once you get past that and figure out the cheese mechanics necessary to survive, you will be fine.
My first 2-3 hours were hell, but the game was pretty fun until the end. As the game progresses, more abilities and equipment are made available to the player which enriches the experience as the game goes on, and also more challenging enemies appear.
A massive mall, countless zombies, psychos and soldiers hunting you down as you juggle your time to rescue survivors that you can find.
Nostalgia is a great bonus as well, while I have not played this game when it first came out, this is my first time playing it, it is a great trip back in time to inhale the game design philosophy of the 2000s, the level design is also influenced by the culture of the time, aka Mall culture. Skateboards, bicycles, CD shops, camera shops, food and apparel shops, entertainment... you name it. Was a fun trip overall.

I'm leaving a positive review because I love the game.
However I do not recommend anyone to buy it if you are considering it because it is impossible to have a satisfying and fair game ever since the free Epic giveaway because the game is infested with cheaters now.

It might come as a surprise because this game is somewhat niche but there are too many subtle hackers. There are countless forum threads about it online and proven video evidence on Youtube.
They tweak their movement speed slightly to gain an edge in chases. They also have ever-present wallhacks.
Game is abundantly monetized with endless forms of in-game store, steam store etc. and when a new content comes out, it is pay2win as long as it is not purchasable with in game currency. In my experience, only mobile games are as predatory as this game.

Rest in peace Ezio trilogy :(

Deep in the ocean, dead and cast away
Where innocences burn in flames
A million mile from home, I'm walking ahead
I'm frozen to the bones, I am

A soldier on my own, I don't know the way
I'm riding up the heights of shame
I'm waiting for the call, the hand on the chest
I'm ready for the fight, and fate

The sound of iron shocks is stuck in my head
The thunder of the drums, dictates
The rhythm of the falls, the number of dead
The rising of the horns, ahead

From the dawn of time to the end of days
I will have to run away
I want to feel the pain and the bitter taste
Of the blood on my lips, again

This deadly burst of snow is burning my hands
I'm frozen to the bones, I am
A million mile from home, I'm walking away
I can't remind your eyes, your face
