Yakuza 3 is a game that I been really interested to play since I became a fan of the series. I've heard tons and tons of people saying that you should just skip this game since it's higly regarded as one of the worst in the entire franchise. Coming from 0, Kiwami 1 and Kiwami 2 definitly feels like a step back but we got to remember that it was the first game in the old engine.

My thoughts of it right now are pretty simple, I'm liking the direction of the first half of the story, this "slice of life" part at the beginning, it is slow and really takes a whilie to get good, but if you give it time, definitly gets pretty decent. And we actually get to see real development of Kiryu's personality here! A little bit at least...

Combat it's... Well, not bad... but... We all know why we call this Blockuza 3. Combat isn't really bad, it's actually really good with tons of different moves to use like the other games, the thing is, since the AI really likes to block all of your attacks you're left with only spamming the same grab and throw or the same combos over and over and over again, it gets to a point that you have to do really specific strategies just to get a basic combo in an enemy, and this is more noticeable in bosses; At least to me it doesn't feel rewarding, but boring.

Good thing is that when you do all the Komaki training it gets a little bit more fun but you're still doing the same moves again and again. Even the OG Yakuza 1 and Yakuza 2 weren't this bad at it.

Right now I can't really talk about minigames, we all love them, but since QLOC broke a lot of them we can't really do much other than waiting for a patch. The only thing I will say is: ♥♥♥♥ the cabaret minigame, if you're going to do it, do it with a guide from the start, please.

Overall, at least to the point where I am in the game, I recommend it, but get it in a bundle with the others so you can get the best bang for your buck. And don't be like me and play it on hard mode, the blocking and enemy damage really shows on that difficulty...

Please QLOC, fix the pc ports, ily.

El h3h3 character pack lo mejoró aun más.

La campaña es genial, el multijugador sigue vivo, y además, custom zombies, miles de mapas hechos por la comunidad, cada uno con su toque especial.
Lo único malo es el sistema de acuchillado tanto en multi como en zombies pero te acostumbras a ello.
