Simple, fast, fun! It's an interesting fusion between the platformer and tower defense genres.

Unironically one of the most creative and challenging platforms I've ever played

A lot of my earlier problems with ACT 2 have been resolved. Act 1 is still phenomenal, Act 2 has had a lot of extremely rough spots fixed in terms of optimization, as well as having an upgrade be reintroduced after a bug prevented it from being in game. The boss fights of act 2 are still a chore however, and I hope the dev can continue to balance them to be more fun.

I honestly did not expect to like this as much as I do

The artstyle and music reminds me of a mix of old aperture from Portal 2 and left4dead. The humor reminds me of classic valve humor, but then again, Chet Faliszek is working on this game.

the gunplay is satisfying and fun in my opinion

I absolutely love the emphasis on physics and gameplay, I don't think enough games have physics in gameplay, so using the vortex grenades to absolutely suck up all the aliens, or using the stasis grenade to slow down everything in slow motion, or just watching the ragdolls fall is funny. There's also the pulse which tosses enemies back and can be spammed, and is just generally fun to use. It's also mildly funny to be tossed back by brutes, although it might not be as funny when you're dying to it.

The level design is absolutely amazing. A mall, a park, there's so many interesting and unique ideas for levels in this game, and exploring them is so much fun.

Overall I think the game is fun for what I've played so far, and I'm looking forward to mod support whenever that happens. There are some minor difficulty curve issues that can only be fixed by tweaking the director ai, but i'm having so much fun with this game, and absolutely love it.

This was honestly kinda disappointing

I had been waiting for this game since gmanlives's preview last year, and I have to say that any enjoyment I had of the game is ruined by some technical issues the game suffers from. I would often die from guns just not firing despite having ammo, or the bullet time not triggering. The controls of this game seem to have issues with dropped inputs, and this gets extremely frustrating on harder levels.
I'd honestly not recommend purchasing until these technical issues are fixed.

I'd also say gmanlive's complaints about the level design still remain valid

Many of these levels are way too open, allowing hitscan enemies to utterly shred you, and you have no choice but to take the damage. It's just really aggravating and annoying.

While the ending was not quite what I expected, It was very emotional and a good story nonetheless. I really liked it a lot.

The encounters in game are mostly too easy, most of the new enemies exist purely to annoy the player, level design has taken a massive step down from The Ancient Gods Part 1, and the final boss is inconsistent and buggy as hell. This is why you don’t listen to random-ass youtubers who don’t know ♥♥♥♥ about game development. 5/10, massive disappointment, not fun at all.
