Met another Blood Raven Brother during a PvE operations.... after a rolly polly dance a race to "receive relic gifts" was on.

On a serious note, overall the game was well enjoyable from the campaign to operations and eternal war. You can get a sense of what the developers were doing. Where they mainly focused on the core-mechanics of the game etc, shooting, hacking, slashing, bludgeoning, animations and roaring fervour, in order to create a compelling and immersive experience to role-play as a Space Marine in the Warhammer 40k grim reality.

Well crafted core-mechanics weaved together seamlessly with some interesting replay-ability in operations and eternal war. And specifically for the operations I love to mention the random extremis boss ambushes which breaks the monotone experiences when grinding in missions.

However as they mainly focused on the core-mechanics, many including me have observed that the game is lacking in many Quality of Life mechanics. Small mechanics or different approaches could have made the online experience more bearable with the ongoing complaints and connection issues. One warning is that the game does require online access even with the PvE operations. Your progress that you have earned during offline play will not be saved which was a bit disappointing.

Ooooh what does this spell do? ...*BOOM* (cue death music)

On a serious note:
Fantastic 2D Rougelike Adventure game with a heavy emphasis on the physics. It's like "The Powder Toy" sand-box physics game coming alive, combined with "Terraria". The physics in this game is ultimately well developed where you end up just watching those pixellated fires slowly burn, burning down everything, burning the monsters and forgetting that the fire is hot once u see all those gold loot drop. (cue death music)

Early Access Review
Bare with me my english is horrible

Rimworld, a game i felt skeptical at first because of the price. Afterall i have experinced playing Prision Architect, a great game after release. Between the two games there is similar art stlye and game mechanics.(The developer has mention before the art was inspired from Prision Architect and also admitted he sucks art. Who could blame him) But i still brought it because im a sucker for building/management games. And oh my word. One hour in for testing and learning the general functions of the game there is clearly a big difference in the atmosphere. Unnoticably i was already immersed into the game spending the whole day playing forgetting about something(assignments).

Pros
  • Freedom to create your own structures
  • Many Micro Management activities to keep the players busy(fun and challenging)
  • Core mechanic which in my mind is unique, is the behavioral traits of each character(drives me crazy)
  • Story wise is good. Even more great is players are able to design their own stories fitting of which AI story teller they choose.
  • The story teller AI is an ASS
  • Small details of the characters relationsihps, health and trait creates a detailed story in the overall gameplay
  • Very Modd friendly
Cons
  • Hard to think of any cons
  • Tutorials are non-existance(I dont remember seeing any, so it requires players to generally search up wiki in order to find answers or in the forums)
  • Found out how heartless i was(character crying because fiance died after a couple of days(my fault), yelling at her to get over it)

In conclusion the game was worth every cent that was used to buy the game. Even more so i have recommended the game to my classmates who have asked about it as they saw me play during class(lecturer supported me playing, woohoo). The details in the game has provided a greater detail and and effects the story making it unique and differnt to all players who starts a new game. The building and management functions in this game is realistic in all survival situation and to make it more realistic the characters are unique in their own individual ways.(good or bad) So far with my 90 hours of experince the longer you play the more things you would discover in the game. At this point I wish i can split up the community so i can establish 2 settlements on one screen. And somehow make it possible to research to expand the world so we can turn the small village into a city one day.

Bare with me my english is horrible. 5/10
Starbound. In my opinion, it had a bumpy ride through the early access. At the start it was viewed as a Terraria clone space version. While Terraria was a 2D clone version of Minecraft. All in all, these games created a new popular trend in survival base building. In the beginning of the developing process the game was simple with scarce mechanics. But the unique core pillar of this game was the wide space exploration with many diverse planets with animals/monsters. Now with 1.0 with many tests and revamps the game has prospered to be seened as its own. The game has now added more deiversity assets, more mechanics, a storyline and........ well a lot great stuff that gives the game a reason to explore the countless stars and planets.

Pros:
  • Swords and guns coming from old medevial era to modern alien hi-techy techy era
  • Many different biomes which gives plently of diverse animals, monsters, plants, food and other things you can imagine (dont get too imaginative)
  • A universe to explore with countless planets
  • Different races to play as
  • Never ever forget the modding community (always makes it better)
  • Added companions
Cons:
  • Although the game is made to be long lasting the expereince can be short where the core suplies can be easily gathered on very few planets which can give the players no reason to travel far.(may not be a bad thing)
  • No pausing in single player (gotta save and quit)

Inconclusion the game has become a worthy title where I can say I do not regret buying it. The developers worked hard and listened to the community. And with recent events this game is like No Man Sky but with more mechanics.

My first review, and bare with me my english is horrible.

8-Bit Hordes is a fun small game that reminds me of old classical RTS games like Command & Conquer and Warcraft. Playing through this game made me not regret for buying this. Now my first impression about this game, was simple. The graphics were pleasing, the battle system isnt too complicated and most of all my favourite part is the base building. My review may not be able to provide everything as i only played single player and have not tested the muiltplayer.

Pros:
  • A good number of diverse units to play, without any complicated systems
  • The good old classic base building mechanic that seems to be missing in the modern takes of RTS games
  • Simple and easy for anyone trying out the RTS genre
Cons:
  • In the first few missions you would realise there is only the rush tatics to win (no turtling)
  • The game seems to be unbalanced in some areas where the problems lies with the AI

Inconclusion the game may not be perfect. But the good parts of the game puts the problem below. The game may seem repetive to some with the long campaign. The options to play both armies from the first 8-Bit Arimes and Hordes for skirmishes and online gives a great experince. If I had a wish it would be that the developers were able to input the all the armies in the campaign together and create a story with that. A game i would recommend to others.
