I like the idea of the game. Seems like a refreshing take on the RTS genre. But the UI really lets it down.
Lacking an in game tutorial too so a little hard to just pick up and play without watching hours of videos.

Keeping an eye on this one but had to return it for now. I can't recommend it but your mileage/experience may vary.

This is a decent RPG, even if you are not a Harry Potter fan. Overall, the creators did a decent job of recreating the setting.
The main quest line was just long enough without being too over done. Plenty of side quests to do as well. But i suspect you'd probably be able to complete them all in about 60 hours.

Combat felt fluid enough and rewarding. Flying felt a little janky but apparently there is a mod for that.
Performance wise, i did have some stutters on game release. But these seemed to have been fixed. I haven't noticed any recent performance issues others experienced at time of review. However, my PC is pretty beefy.

Some of the interactive segments stumble. But overall the game and story was decent enough. Made me feel like i was in an episode.
However, A couple of the characters and the way they are written were a little bit of a letdown (Bedrosian was the WORST!)

Visuals wise they probably could've done a little better. In some places, they aren't bad! But in others they definitely look and feel dated.
Gameplay wise. Look, it is a story game. So don't expect warp core shattering gameplay mechanics.

This type of adventure/story game lends itself well to star trek. So hopefully we see more additions to the franchise in this space.

Decent puzzle/exploration game. The puzzles were challenging enough and the puzzle mechanics are tutorialised into the gameplay. Although there were a couple of annoying puzzles where you needed to backtrack parts of the rather large map.

The combat was probably the least fun part of the game. It often felt forced and like a chore among the vast puzzles and secrets to find.
Overall I recommend the game. Decent 15 hours of playtime. Even more if you are an achievement/secrets hunter.

Solid game with a mix of city building and resource management. Not overly difficult but it does enough to keep you engaged and thinking.
Not a whole lot of replay for the asking price. But I do see myself coming back to play it if i just want to chill and build something without too much thought.
This is my first steamworld game so i'm not familiar with the story. But the story seems decent enough and looks like they can easily build upon in the future. Not sure why some reviews are complaining about the lack of story. It really isn't the type of game to have an extensive "war and peace" story. So what they've done is fine IMHO.
$30 seems about the sweet spot if you see this on sale.

The type of game that will keep your attention past midnight and well into the early hours. It is a fantastic tycoon style game and is addictive to play.

The king of turn based RPG's. A surprisingly hidden gem that will keep you coming back. The sure don't make them like this anymore! Not even modern x-com comes close to the level of management this game offers nor the level of character back story.

It's a good game but pick it up on sale. You can likely complete it under 5 hours.
The story and puzzles are decent enough. My only criticism was the jumping mechanics felt frustrating. I don't know if it was the layout of the ship or i'm just getting old. But trying to grab ladders or jump between platforms was often frustratingly tedious to perform correctly the first try. They might be better with a controller.

I also felt that "transit" between objectives was kinda dull and took too long. I don't recall it being so slow in the previous game. Maybe i just lacked the patience. But i often felt there wasn't a great deal to look at or do between objectives. Granted the title of the game implies that you need to cover vast distances. But honestly most of the transits were frustratingly long in my opinion.
