Lies Of P is inspired by the Belle Époque period as well as the story of Pinocchio with some incredible twists thrown together. So, if you're playing this game, I recommend you to read or watch the story of Pinocchio. Though is not something you need to do in order to understand the story of the game, it's still nice to see the references and twists if you know the original story.

You hear comparisons of this game to Fromsoftware games and, sure enough, you can see a lot of inspiration from them, but let me tell you that Lies Of P is his own thing. Gameplaywise, they've adapted, refined and created new ways to play these games and it works really well. I've become an absolute fan of what they've done here, something I haven't felt since playing Sekiro, another masterpiece of a game.

Now for me, Lies Of P became my absolute favourite souls-like game I've played so far and that's saying quite something. The reason why is that they have manage to create not only a solid gameplay, but also a beautiful world full of emotion and soul. From the characters, story, music, artwork, graphics, this game has it all...!

Though my words won't be nearly enough to describe how inspiring and beautiful this game is I just had to write something and leave my absolute 100% recommendation for you to play this work of art.

Nitro Kid should win the the best sooundtrack award this year!
Fantastic OST, great card deck builder overall, very nice retro visuals theme and the devs are dedicated to their craft, always trying to hear the community to improve the game.

As others have said: The game is downright difficult even in the easiest setting. This difficulty comes from the fact that you have to perform key actions and unlock the right bonuses. There's no room for deviation here, or you're gonna get killed. I liked very much the artwork, the units you can unlock, the exploration, etc. What ruins this game is this absurd difficulty that demands you to be almost perfect in everything you do, there's no freedom to do anything else, no deviations. This difficulty makes a not very good expirience especially for someone starting out and trying to figure out and learning the gameplay mechanics, As someone who have played all kingdom games and love the genre I really wanted to recommend this game and I think it has a lot of potential, but like this unfortunetly I can't.

Hi fellow monster keepers!

This game took me by surprise, never would I imagine encounter such a complex gameplay in this hidden gem. If you like pokemon style games, but with way more complex strategies involved and also like metroidvania games where you explore the world and try to find the right abilities to get through obstacles than this game is definitely for you.
You will be spending most of your time raising your adorable monsters and trying to figure out what abilities to unlock for each of them and to see which monsters fit well together (and if you think that there are only a few abilities to unlock you are gravely mistaken! For each monster there are 4 trees of abilities to unlock, with each one branching out into more devastating abilities of that tree). The key to sucess in this game is choosing a team of monsters that synergize well together and that is strong against the enemy you are facing. You can't simply choose the mosnters randomly, that will not get you far in this game. If you do not pay attention to teambuilding you are doomed to fail sooner or later. So, start learning from the begining what is effective, buffs and debuffs in this game are also very important, try getting high scores on battles to earn more items and don't be afraid to explore and try new things! And I tell you I'm no expert in this game! I died many times or simply could not get 5 stars against some champion monsters at some point, but as I learned and gain new monsters and abilities I finally could beat the game and do all the challenges.

When I was younger I really enjoyd playing pokemon but now I find them too easy and simple and I can't play them anymore. Therefore, I thank the devs for making such a complex and interesting gameplay where you can't simply bash your way through or farm for levels. You really need to think things through here.

I talked about battles having a score system which I liked very much of that idea. You will score more based on how many turns did it take to beat the monsters, how many buffs/debuffs there were, how much life did you have left at the end of the battle, etc. The more you score, the better your chances are of getting a monster egg and more rare items/equipment/materials.

I was surprised about how much lore you can find about the world, about each monster you encounter (you will get a monster journal with adorable artwork and a surprisingly lenghty description about each monster. ), about characters, etc. There are a lot of dialogue too and interactions with many characters. I honestly wasn't expecting too much regarding the story and world building of this game, but I was wrong. The game managed to keep me interested in the world and its inabitants and the story right through the end! I've read all of the monster journal entries and spoke to all characters, etc. I really enjoyed world of monster sanctuary!

All in all, I think this is a terrific game. You have an incredible battle system, awesome soundtrack, interesting story, 50~60 hours of gameplay, a vast world to explore, etc. Though there are things that can be improved, this game is still a very good one and I enjoyed every second of it. It's a solid reccomendation from me and I'm expecting to see Monster Sanctuary 2 coming out. Please dear devs, make a second game, I would love to play it!

Hello guys!

This is a difficult review to give because I truly loved some things that this dlc has to offer. I want to point out that with this dlc also came out the new "Conquest" Update which is transversal to all of the game, which means that all off the previous content was somehow changed too. Both the dlc and the new update brought many interesting ideas and good quality changes, however it also brought new problems, bugs and unrefined and unbanlanced gameplay. I and a bunch of other people have been active on this game foruns, trying to reach out to the devs. I got a reply by one of the devs saying that changes are being made and hopefully a new update will come soon to fix this issues. Until than I recommend you to wait before such update comes.

First of all, don't take into account my time playing this game on steam because I played this game 3 times (and completed almost everything) on my old ps2 back in the day! I just want to share how happy I am to see this game coming to pc in HD because I couldn't play the golden version since I don't own a PSP Vita and because this game is just pure awesome! I love Shin Megami Tensei titles, they are amazing games! I have played Digital Devil Saga, Lucifer's Call, Persona 3 and 4 and let me tell you, if you are a newcomer to the series and enjoy a good RPG that often makes you question the very essence of life or if you enjoy a more darker tone these games are definitely for you! Don't be intimidated by the fact that these games are a little bit old, they still hold a lot of value and they continue to be as enjoyable as they were before!

Persona 4 Golden, while more cheerful than other games from the franchise, will make you look for a serial killer that is running havoc in the, otherwise, peaceful rural town of Inaba. Meanwhile you must balance your investigation of the bizarre killings with your personal life: you will be going to school, study for exams, making friends, work part-time jobs and so much more! The characters, story, soundtrack and gameplay are overall top quality and just for the price of 19,99€ is a steal!

ATLUS, bring back the other games for PC! PLEASE, TAKE MY MONEY and bring them back! I will gladly buy them!

EDIT: After doing my first playthrough of persona 4 golden here on steam I just need to write that I did not encounter any glitches, stutterings or any problems of any kind like many people are complaining about. Not once. I have a GTX 1060 6 Gb and a i7-7700k.
Another thing, the Golden version of this game is a great addition to an already great game. This version includes a new character and social link, new dungeon, new moments and anime scenes, songs and so much more! I'm glad I could play this version of the game! ^. ^

I bought this game with the hope I could get a similar experience that I got with Resident Evil 1 HD Remaster, but boy was I wrong! In paper, having two characters you can control and having them swap items and solve puzzles seems good but it was terrible executed and WTF Capcom! NO ITEM BOXES?! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?! THIS IS T.E.R.R.I.B.L.E.! I don't know if some of the devs were smoking something strange at the time and got such a brilliant idea or even if anyone tried to test the game beforehand because this is ridiculous. You basically have to make Rebbeca your mule (since she is far worse at fighting than Bill) and go back and forward, from area to area to pick all the items because this game forces you to to leave your items on the ground! Oh and good luck picking up the item you actually want to pick! Also if that wasn't bad, the room has a limit to the items you can leave on the ground so you are forced to leave them scattered throughout different rooms. Imagine that, the time it will take to pick everything up, the cutscene of doors opening and closing.... This is soooooo boring and it makes me furious that a developer could do something as stupid as this. This ♥♥♥♥ completely ruined the game for me. If it wasn't for this the game would be okay and I would recommend it, there are other problems with it, of course, but overall I would consider it a good game, but like this the game is ruined. I couldn't even manage to finish the game (defeated the Bat boss and afterwards there was no desire or fun left in playing this).

All in all, I do not recommend this game even if you are a fan of the franchise and of the classic Resident Evil games.

Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales is another superb RPG game developed by CD Projekt Red! In this spin-off of The Witcher franchise you will feel the heat of battle through Gwent!

This game takes place just before the Second North War, in 1267, where you play as Meve, Queen of Lyria and Rivia (a Northen Kingdom). The first cutscene shows the gathering of the nordling kings in Hagge, where they discuss what course of action to take against the Nilfggardian invasion. Afterwards, Meve returns to her kingdom and plans to prepare for the incoming war.
"Thronebreaker: The witcher Tales" takes place before the events of the 3 main Witcher games.

Speaking of Gwent, you may be wondering: "How is it gonna be with all the battles being in the form of Gwent battles?" or "I didn't invest much of my time playing Gwent when I went through The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, is this spin-off still worth buying?" To try to answer these questions:

Yes, almost everything will be presented in a form of Gwent, even puzzles or new allies you will recruit will be transformed into Gwent cards too. It may seem rather odd but, actually the battles functions really well and there is a lot of creativity put into those battles and the cards displayed. It's a marvel to see this creativity and the phenomenal artwork of the cards and their descriptions! The cards will even have voice acting when they enter into the battlefield and some of them (the rare ones) have animated images.

For those who are experienced with Gwent from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will have a big surprise of how things have changed. The mechanics and dynamics of the Gwent game are drastically different here, only retaining some aspects of the original one. So, while it still helps be a bit familiarized with the "previous Gwent", everyone that plays this game must learn everything from scratch. I enjoyed very much when I played Gwent in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt but I'm enjoying much more here in this game. Personally, I think the changes they made greatly improved Gwent, leading to a new wide range of strategies and tactics you may employ during battles.

Not everything is Gwent though! In this game you will have different maps to explore, resources to acquire in order to build your camp and strengthen your deck, people to talk to (you should always speak to people until you have exhausted all diologue options, you never know what you will gain!) quests and hidden treasues to find.

Besisdes that, you will have an engaging and well written narrative and very interesting characters with superb voice acting and artwork. Also, the narration of the story is wonderfully made, with not only the narrator and images describing the situation but also you can even hear sounds like the wind howling, footsteps in the distance or someone holding the reins of a horse very tightly... Every single detail you can think of will be put there giving you a superb immersive experience. I very often get the feeling that I'm watching a high quality series like Game Of Thrones (not counting the last seasons of GOT of course...). You will also have very well designed choices with meaningful consequences! Some of those consequences may come soon while others may come much later...
Also, if you are familiarized with the The Witcher world you will get a lot of references from other characters, games and books.

For those people who dislikes playing Gwent, you will still have the option to skip battles and enjoy only the storyline. The game also includes the "battle-hardened" (normal difficulty) and the "bonebreaker" (highest difficulty) difficulties. I've played in the bonebreaker difficulty and found it challenging in some parts but nothing that would led me to frustration.

The soundtrack, as always, is great! The Witcher games always amazes me by their soundtrack quality. I also MUST point out how fantastic it is to receive the game's soundtrack as well as artwork and other bonuses! All the witcher games have that and that's a huge thumbs up for CD Projekt Red. By buying Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales you will also gain The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut as well as a comic about one of geralt's many adventures. That's pretty dope! Thank you so much for this!

Some negative aspects I found throughout the game were that in a few battles the AI would take a long time to draw the cards. I also found the puzzles unbalanced with ones being annoying, others very simple, others really difficult and others being very funny (in a good way) and reasonable (with a medium difficulty, not too hard nor easy). Lastly, I would like to have save files aside from the auto-save system because many times I wished I could go back and redo my decisions but simply couldn't.

All in all, I think you absolutely must play this game if you're a fan of The Witcher world and you enjoy Gwent. For those who never played any Witcher game but like card games and a strong narrative, go for it! You will not catch some references but you will get the big picture of what is going on and the main story of this game doesn't need any other games or books to be comprehended. For those who really dislikes Gwent, you will still have the option to only see the story and skip the battles but I think that would ruin the game for me so in that particular case unless you are an hardcore fan of The Wicher world i would not recommend it. Otherwise, please make yourself a favor and play this game. It has an amazing cast of characters, the writting is top quality, the soundtrack is amazing, the story is very engaging and the gameplay is also very good.

I give Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales an 8/10! Thanks CD Projekt Red for the high quality games!

Firstly, I must say that this game took me by surprise! At first glance, the game seemed to me your usual retro indie game with simple and basic gameplay features. While it's true that the gameplay is rather simple, it's still so very addictive! The more I played the more I was hooked.

The levels of this game are well thought/designed and always makes you yearn for more. Each new level has somehow new gimmicks or enemies and the extra challenges you can do in each level (like completing a level without getting hit, do a certain number of combos or special challenges like evade the spores of a certain enemy, etc) is a joy to complete.
Bosses are also very entertaining to beat, with each one having hilarious names and presentations.

The difficulty level of this game is very easy if you just want to beat the game without completing the challenges. However, if you do want to 100% the game, it becomes rather difficult to the point of being hardcore. You will have to put extra effort and really learn the layouts of the levels or enemies patterns.

As I said earlier, the gameplay while simple, is rather original if you think about it. How many games have you seen that puts you in a position where you play tennis in a bullet hell game genre while also breaking blocks along the way? Also, I think this simplicity works really well with the overall game. You can hit balls, roll to speed up you character for dodging and use different pets (buddies) abilities that you encounter throughout the world.

Some couple of issues I would like to see solved are: The fact that you can't turn around and hit eneimies/objects from behind as well as the fact that as soon as you touch a pet laying around on screen, he will instantly join you so if you have already another pet more suitable to that specific level you can say bye-bye to him. You can, however, hit them while they are inside the bubble and they will change into another pet until it turns equal to yours, which will give you a full grown pet with an upgraded abillity or extra points but doing this sometimes is near impossible because there is just to much going on on screen and most likely you will get the wrong pet in the midst of all that chaos.

Another negative aspect of the game are the many flashes that occurs throughtout it. This game really makes my eyes tired and now I understand why they have a warning for people with epilepsy. The Devs team sould not have put such bright colors or flashes in the game.

You can play local co-op with a friend which is so much fun! The big "no-no" is that there isn't a multiplayer feature so you have to rely on softwares like parsec or the steam remote play to play with a friend that lives far away from you. That isn't really a solution since you will experience a lot of lag (like I did when I played with my friend.) It came to a point when I had to give up playing with my friend, in level 3-1, because the lag was just too unbearable. I think the developers should add this feature in the future if possible.

The game looks like a retro game taken from those old machines you could play in coffee shops by putting a coin in, from the 80s-90s. Even the intro has a Japanese girl (I think) saying the name of the developers studio (Double Dash) with that funny accent that makes me delve even more into that era of those arcade machines and Japanese culture. Aside from that, this retro style is mixed well with the cartoonish characters and enemies found in the game.

The soundtrack is good, having upbeat tunes throughout the game.

Story wise, there's not much to say, at least at first glance! After beating the game I realised how much content is hidden in the Level's background! Level 2-2 is a perfect example of that, with engravings telling the story of it's world. Later in the game you will come to realise something odd is going on and if you search carefully some strange and even bizarre easter eggs might pop up! It's amazing how much story details DD studios have put inside the game. Many mysteries are laying around right in front of you and you may not even realised it! Like a puzzle, you must pay attention and try to figure out what is really going on here, even right at the begining you will see DD studio's logo being glitched which is just one of many clues.

I have to thank Double Dash Studios and my friend @Tiago Rocha for receiving this game for free. Thank you very much! It's been really fun!

All in all, it's a great, funny and entertaining game to play, especially with a friend! Completing all the challenges is a joy and very addictive! If you like retro gaming give this one a try, you will not be disappointed!

PS: I've been making a guide with a friend on how to beat those challenges, please check it out if you need some help beating them! Thanks! https://test-steamproxy.haloskins.io/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1907454302
