Forced to refund after wasting an hour trying to load into the game itself.. Got as far as the main menu and then "loading in".

Have PC specs just good enough to run CS2, Rocket League, Sea of Thieves etc fine… but this one game man, wtf.

Main menu loads in, can select 'new game' and 'load game', but it does maybe 15s of that and the drawing animation doing whips until it gives up. I feel like this is when it would normally load up and I’d be spawned in. But nope. Fps drops even more, from around 30 to 20, to 10, to 7. Memory soars to 94% avg and I can barely alt tab del to close it all. It’s cooking my PC.

Most of us have jobs here. It sucks to come home to spend what little time I have as is looking at a black screen. I can’t do this anymore otherwise I won’t be able to refund. Not sure of any fix. RIP.

Surely thats good enough specs??
Disappointed as I was there for the original release of PIPE BMX and it was brilliant. To lose a fair chunk of my evening to this makes me feel robbed in more ways than one.

I've never had an issue like this with any other game in the past.
Mash games himself (Matt) was also replying to people in the discord and after one reply of "where was the black screen" he didn't help any further (yet replied to every single other question posed to him at the time) The mans busy, I get it. However some of the questions posed were not of any importance or relevance to anything, so it feels rude.

Also what the F is this price if the game is still not finished. We need to go back to waiting longer for more polished and finished games. We had already waited over 3 years, 1 more would've been fine.

Apologies for the waffle review, just needed to vent (and ironically waste more of my evening).

TL:DR- Just go outside, it's cheaper.
