I was pleasantly surprised by this remake. There's a lot about it that makes it a really good remake; from the quality voice acting and graphics that still felt somewhat close the original to the awesome boss changes and inclusion for extra exploration, it felt like Silent Hill 2 made modern, rather than a game trying to be SH2 that could have been better.

I don't have a lot of time spent in the game because I watched my husband play it and am taking my time with it personally. I found myself being startled just from watching him play it and wanting to call out whenever I caught something he may have missed.

Some of the puzzle choices were rather questionable, for instance putting an item right next to the location where it's going to be used rather than how it was in the original game on a completely different floor, but other puzzle changes worked out just fine, but it also has a lot less puzzles in general and although it really didn't take away from being an all around good remake, I think a few more things to do rather than just referencing the old puzzles would have been nice.

my husband and I agreed that it felt like a game that had changes made to it for the sake of being meant to be streamed or recorded for online viewing, this way the player is less so getting lost and more so able to focus on entertainment and going to the next portion/location, etc.

All in all, I hope to see Blooper Team allowed to possibly make remakes for SH1 and SH3 as I now have faith they could handle it after seeing this remake. Much redemption Blooper Team!

I would award this game all the awards if I could. I truly hope to see more Hi-Fi Rush fun.

Seems to be a neat concept and world, but I found myself unable to really get past the fact that it could only be either full screen and blurry or a small window in the middle of my desktop that I could move around. this was followed by having to cycle through loud audio to get to a quiet; albeit not that quiet, volume unless I actively lowered it in windows.

I'm sure if I had gotten more into the story I would have enjoyed it more than I had but the graphic settings and such took me out of being enveloped in the world given to me.

I also found that certain game mechanics/ missing QoL features took me out of it as well, such as being unable to make marks on my map which made it hard to follow where I need to go or where I have been, leaving me to get lost quite a bit which led me to find myself stuck in water and in turn I could either have a complete game over but instead it had me lose everything I had on me like a rogue-like (which I'm not totally for when it comes to a story-driven game). I might try it on another system but for now I find myself not wanting to play it on my PC.

Get the game. Don't second guess yourself. It's that good.

Just a forefront. I have yet to finish this game. I will be! but as it stands currently I haven't.

I have been thoroughly enjoying this game; even though I have screamed way more times I have ever done in my entire life (in fact I didn't even know I could scream), I have enjoyed a lot of what I initially didn't expect the game to have. To be honest; when I first backed the game on Kickstarter, I figured it would end up being just a jumpscare walking simulator. It's far, far from that.

The puzzles that this game has, have been some of my favorite puzzles; that wasn't just in a pure puzzle game, I've had to solve in some time. It made me take notes! I haven't had to take notes for a game since the PS2 era. I can only hope that there are even more to come as well! The cypher-machine around the beginning of the game I had so much fun with figuring out what to do, it didn't even take me all that long to put things together, but it was done in such a way I had fun doing it. I've played plenty of games where it felt like a slough to get through puzzles, they were tedious, unimaginative and I wanted to just get through it with a heavy sigh. I have yet to do that with The Beast Inside at all.

Now that I've gushed about the puzzles.

The environments are truly beautiful. This game; when they said photo-realistic, part of me didn't believe it. But they captured everything perfectly. I've constantly found myself feeling as if I'm actually in the environments; It's probably why I've gotten so scared when something happens, I want to explore just to see everything I can. Take in the sights, they are truly something.

Now, the scares. Geez, when I say they are scary, THEY ARE. I know some/most are "Jump Scares" but they are done in such a way it's not overbearing. Seriously. The game makes you feel tense even when nothing is going on because of the environments and then when something finally does happen. Oh man, it just comes out of ya.

If you're unsure about trying the game because you think you're not going to have a good (horror) experience.

Give it a try. I'm scared to play this game, but I do so; because I want to see what's next, I want to know more of the story, I want to see if there's more awesome puzzles coming my way. I'm seriously glad I'm able to experience this game.

Bought the game on the switch, also bought it on PC now. What else can you say other than it's awesome! You would think Puyo Puyo and Tetris wouldn't meld well, but it totally does.

Kept me on my toes the entire time. When I wasn't and felt at ease, it made sure I was back in my place rather quickly.

Rather interesting of a game, ended up beating it in 3hrs and 22min when I had nothing better to do, so it's about that long gameplay wise if you try and beat it, this means all 99 combos as well, since I pretty much had 100% of everything in the game before finishing it. It's worth a try.

Screw Dark Souls, Screw it with a 10ft Dildo (And I'm not saying that as a negative manner. It seems good but... yeah...)
