Terrible unfinished game.

The gameplay mechanisms of the game are dysfunctional despite the promises that the developer want to promote to the public. You will start to fall in love with the premise of the game until a series of minor bugs start to plague your gaming experience. I won't deny that the game has unique and innovative features such as the comprehensive economic system which makes the game akin to a spreadsheet simulator, but there's so much untested features that makes you unable to enjoy the game.

The most guilty feature that Victoria 3 has is the military/war system. It offers you:|
- incredibly random and game-crashing frontline system
- naval-invasions-that-take-forever-to-launch
- interface that does not reveal you the real offense/defense value of your troops
- extremely buggy occupation system where you can occupy vast territories the size of United Kingdom with only pure infantry within a few days if left undefended
- AI puppet troops ruining your occupation by sending their men into suicide rushes\
- AI puppet troops only seem to be the one fighting losing battles with poor offense/defense values while your troops can't enter battles thus you are slowly pushed back on the frontline
- no disabling naval invasions
- extremely shallow attrition system where you take attrition in your own home territory
- troops in territory HQ can defend the mainland and islands at the same time so you can't invade islands
- non existent supplies so Qing can flood Borneo with 1 million soldiers without any supply issues
- most casualties of war occur from attrition until it becomes a whopping 70% of the total casualties... the list goes on.

For the most part, a lot of the other bugs are harmless or a little bit annoying such as Wallachia spamming your screen with a unification message. Either way, this game is mostly unplayable if you wanna play with military expansion. The most I could do to enjoy this game with its unique features is to just be pacifist. How fun.

Please don't buy this game. There's so many other ways for you to spend your money or enjoy the game without spending any money. Just watch Youtube videos instead.

There's nothing else better than building a giant wall around your keep and watching your peasants die outside the walls by plagues, fires, food shortage, dragon and viking raids.
