It was fantastic when I played it in 2006 as a kid, but now it's aged 18 years like a good Scotch single malt whisky and I can enjoy it again as an adult.

What I expected:
Cool characters, great story, fun combat

What I also got:
Collecting cans for money, buying weapons from a sex shop, paying a chicken to run one of my businesses.

If you can pick the game up during a sale then you've got yourself a bargain. It isn't genre changing but it has its fun moments.

But that being said, can I recommend it? NO. After getting really close to the end of the game it broke and wouldn't let me progress. Whilst the publisher did look at my save file which was cool of them, they couldn't fix it. So 25 hours of progress wasted as I was told I had to restart - something I don't plan to do as replaying 25 hours doesn't sound fun enough and I don't want to risk facing the same problem again.

So this isn't my normal kind of game, I prefer story led action-RPGs yet was convinced by some online mates about trying this...

and now I can't stop playing - it's a totally chilled out game which you can play at your own pace and however you like.

I'd really recommend it for anyone wanting to game but play something less serious for a change.

The game itself is good fun, easy to understand game modes and a good variety of heroes all of which are available to buy with in-game currency.

The matchmaking however is beyond bad so avoid ranked matches and stick to the more casual match modes and you'll be fine.

So over the years I've played a lot of games, but none have been as immersive and atmospheric as Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. If you play with headphones and with the lights turned off at night, then the game really sucks you in, and makes you feel the emotions that Senua feels. I still remember the first session playing this, and getting the feelings of paranoia and anxiety from the whispering voices in the game, and then after the session; still having those feelings as the game had affected me that much.

Simply put, the game is a masterpiece, and well worth playing for anyone who enjoys a story-driven, emotional game.

So I wasn't planning to write a review, but I enjoyed the game so much I feel it deserves another positive review.

If you've played 'To The Moon' and 'A Birds Tale' then you'll know what to expect, if you've not played them then I'd recommend you do. The story is both beautiful and intriguing, with a soundtrack that really brings out the emotion in the story - the graphics whilst simple; let you focus on what's happening and aren't a let down at all.

Simply put, I can't praise the game highly enough and will be buying future games in the series.

So, just some background information, I'm a big fan fo RPG games, I've been playing them for around 20 years and remember playing the original Titan Quest back in 2006. So, would I still recommend this version of the game....

YES!!

Like it was 12 years ago, finding an action RPG with an original setting is still rare. Too often the standard D&D designs are used and games start to feel similar to each other. Titan Quest goes down the Greek mythology route which sets it apart from the competition and hooks you in early on.

The only real downside of the game I've experienced so far has been the speed of the gameplay, it does feel slow compared to the modern games like Grim Dawn, Diablo 3 and Van Helsing. However put into the game options is a "game speed" option, you can select normal, like the game originally was, or select fast or very fast making the game feel more modern, or to allow you to fast bosses much easier.

Look, I don't want to go on for a while about this, I'm sure if you're reading this review then you're already interested in the game. It'll be cheap in a sale (like it currently is) and if you enjoy action RPGs then you'll end up loving it.
