Despite its age of this classic, playing it is an experience which you can't and will never find again in a modern MMO game simply because of the time pressure all MMO games are pushed out these days just to create a money cow.

LOTRO had like other games of that kind back then time for development to go into details which today would never become part of an MMO again simply because it would cost way too much where corporations these days just want money cows and milk their games as fast as possible by focusing way too much on eye candy but neglect SO many other aspects which give a MMO game its charm.

Immersion through a highly detailed world with a lot of NPCs to interact with, following it also with wildlife, good writing in a HUGE number of quests and side quests, the with distance best system of F2P and subscription for MMOs, hands down.
The reward system is highly motivating in accumulating points which allow you to play the game for free, quests ranging from small daily, trivial tasks to epic stories were too many games focus just on 'let's save the whole world...again' quests.

Of course the game is not perfect and has a lot of potential for improvements. But the development team shows HOW much they love the original source material and the license holders appreciate the atmosphere and the love for the material, including Tolkien's own terrible experiences in WW1 which you see reflected in the scenes in Mordor and other places.

LOTRO is not just a game, it is an experience which I wish modern games could repeat but never will because of greedy CEOs which give a damn for the love of developers of games.
I for example focuses fully on adventuring and questing and had a lot of fun with the game. If you like housing and decorating and/or crafting you can keep yourself even much, MUCH longer busy.
I met a lot of players which play nothing but this one game, similar like WOW junkies and it helps the immersion.

The only requirement you MUST bring with you is the love for reading as there's a LOT to read as you keep exploring the ever growing world map. So far I got 8,368 completed quests and I am far from done.
I never liked the pressure of a subscription, so I supported the game by buying expansions and a few other small things even most stuff I got me was with the very motivating 'deed reward' system which gives you those points which allow you to play the game free, even including older expansions.
Still at the end of 2024 the best MMO ever.

A nice simple shooter with a very catchy soundtrack. The 'lock om' system is quite simple and feels good.
I just bought this game as the former ones felt more just like development models towards Moon Dancer and looked too unpolished to me.
After reading about the KS an an updated Switch version done by a 3rd party but limited just to the Switch I decided to not to buy further PC games from the developer even the decision of the Switch version is probably out of his hands from the development hell in Japan.
Still recommend this one game for real Shoot'Em Up' fans for the simple but easy to learn mechanics and that damn catchy soundtrack as Steam doesn't offer a mid-thumb option.

Finally a hack'n'slash game in the most ideal of all fantasy worlds for endless battles against Chaos and Evil. For a first try it's actually quite good even I hope that a future sequel makes better use of the rich background lore of various classes and regions.
Until such glorious day this title can clearly scratch that itch who are tired of the flat, shallow Diablo world.

Pieces are squeezed into the sidebars, image squeezed into center, unused space between piece columns and the image. Can't rest pieces there temporarily. Worst: Pieces let go are 'tossed' by the game in undesired places, overlapping often with others which makes this puzzle unusable. I saw better puzzles.
Music is just on/off, no volume control.
Pity as I liked the images. But those controls are much worse then from other puzzle games.

An interesting tactical adventure which includes the 3rd dimension which is in so many games neglected, different levels of heights which has influence on fights and tactics.
But what really elevates this game out of the crowd is the modding tool which was added and which will aid to let this game survive for a long time with player made content.

A neat tower defense game with a catchy soundtrack. Like so many, it is not too difficult to get into it. The fastest way to progress is to focus to some degree on towers which can attack ground AND air units as just a few can go for the air units. Combined with debuff units and physical stoppers you should get quickly a grip on most situations.
It's nice as a time filler and the soundtrack stays in a pleasant memory despite the steady use. I wish the publisher had offered it as a DLC.

Why does this version of the soundtrack collection NOT include the piece 'Time Of Change (Vaulters Theme)' which is in the pricier wav version package but not in this MP3 bundle?

Early Access Review
This game still has along way to go but the atmosphere is quite good and not one of those many shiny, brainless truck-load looter hack'n'slash games which are quite similar in their formula.
In this game you got to watch your tactics to stay alive. I hope the developers polish this diamond in the rough to the potential it shows.

The soundtrack has a nice 80's vibe in several tunes.
But my absolute favorite song is: "My Bonny Sweet Annie Kills Ogres"
It's hilarious and alone worth the purchase. :)
