malfunctioned ceiling light

I really enjoyed this game. I enjoyed the PvP, GvG, gathering, and crafting, but most of all, the small community we had back in 2023 Sutekh.

I played at launch, quit after a week or two because the game was just dysfunctional.

Came back in October-November 2023, played religiously for a month because it was actually enjoyable, and then quit when it became stale.

Returned a year later for Aeternum - got to max level, dabbled in some PvP and discovered they added a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lock-on feature.. in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ third-person true-action-combat game. You don't need to aim your bow, musket, spells, your big greatsword skills. Nah this is now somehow a low-skill, aiming is for sweaties, hybrid tab-targetting game.

I knew AGS is incompetent and I had low expectations coming in Aeternum yet it turns out I was still overestimating them.

Imagine having your game's relevance dependent on indie porn animators.

You don't have to imagine. Welcome to Overwatch.

It's a really good game with lots of replayability. Super fun.

But as a Monster Hunter game, it is disappointingly easy. Monsters are supposed to feel powerful, every hunt should be planned carefully and approached catiously. But Hunters in this game feel like superheroes.

Good thing is Capcom is known to fix their games frequently with updates. Hoping the expansion, Sunbreak, addresses the current issues.
