After playing this game off and on for 42 hours, I've come to enjoy it and the experience it's given me and my friends through and through.

Unfortunately, Sony doubling down on really baffling decisions has ultimately affected my recommendation of the game. Should they decide to save face (and that's unlikely to happen as I see it now) then I'll be cautiously optimistic of what happens next, but for now I'm going to tell people not to buy the game now because all of the good will it generated really has gone down the proverbial toilet.

Not worth supporting a company like Sony on PC when they can't even keep their promise towards consumers' data and security.

Edit: They have course corrected. Goes to show what protesting does.

Yakuza 3 is a worthy sequel to Yakuza 2 / Kiwami 2 and follows on yet another thriller with the Dragon of Dojima in the driver's seat. Though it has a compelling narrative from the time, it is unfortunately mired by its dated combat system in addition to many other issues this remaster brings.

For fans who are already familiar with the 2009 release, be warned that some aspects of the game were altered (namely the bosses blocking a lot, double finishers being nerfed) during the process.

Like a Dragon Gaiden is this interesting, shorter story that fills in the gaps about what happened between Yakuza 6 and 7; while also hinting at what's to come with Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth.

The combat is to the standard of every other LaD game released in recent years, though it feels somewhat weaker when compared to Lost Judgment and Yakuza Kiwami 2 at points. But what it makes up for is the ability to play as characters you couldn't play before for the first(?) time; such as Daigo Dojima and Gary Buster Holmes.

The narrative was very interesting and, while short, it will definitely keep those engaged. The biggest highlight of the story comes during Chapter 3 and 4.

Overall, this is a "highly recommended," title for the franchise. (It's going to be confusing calling the series Like a Dragon in English when every game before 7 was just Yakuza.)

Now, let's see what the Infinite Wealth trial is like...

[Note: review in progress]

From the developers of Granblue Fantasy, Shadowverse, Uma Musume, and more comes a tiny but exciting little rougelite that brings a lot of charm immediately from the get go.

The combat is very good, as the lilliput companions bring an interesting take on combat and, more-over, strategies to consider when exploring the various locations inside of the game.

The presentation is also excellent, giving high remarks to Cygames once again in giving us excellent artwork and the model quailty is better than I expected. One could easily believe that this would be related to Bravely Default if fans are familiar with the artist involved.

Overall: Strongly Recommend.

What I consider to be the ultimate celebration of the mecha genre in anime has finally made its way to PC. For a casual fan, this is a treat to be introduced to other series. Future titles being localized internationally is one step towards making it possible for people to enjoy this franchise.

I fully recommend this title, if only for the fact that it is a deep strategy game.

Well worth the time and effort to sit down and play all of the Yakuza games at any opportunity and then enter this one with a fresh view of the series.

Beyond some minor bugs, there had been no issues with the game and the experience; definitely worth the purchase 100% due to the story alone and how much of a departure from the earlier games it is (though it's not too much of a departure) and well worth the investment to learn the new system.

Although I originally played this on console and have beaten it, I can one hundred percent suggest this game.

It's, in my opinion, the best way to experience the first Yakuza game, especially following the gameplay of Yakuza 0. While the series going forward may not be the same in regards to gameplay, I can say that this is a stepping stone for most new fans for the franchise.

On the technical side, it runs as smooth as butter on PC and I've had no real issues with it as a result. It's one of those rare PC ports that hit the sweet spot in enhancing the experience from console towards more powerful hardware. For that, I must give my props to SEGA for making this port possible.

Oh, and of course, I cannot forget to mention Majima.

Once again, thank you SEGA for deciding to bring this franchise to other platforms. It brings me great joy to see the franchise I love expand its horizons.

Early Access Review
In my short hour and twelve seconds of playing it, I have nothing but positives to bring up. Though I have run into a few glitches (that I'm sure some of these will be addressed in the final release):

To start, let me put some hiccups that I've found while playing:
- A strange graphical glitch occurs where part of the area beneath the HUD and above the player seems to appear (I have video evidence if necessary, so for any publisher reading this do please contact me in some form) whenever I enter gameplay normally--showing Debug Icons or the HUD all garbled into a mess of pixels. The current solution I've found is messing with the window size itself.
- I've also had some strange hit detection with regards to some enemy projectiles, though I am unsure as a whole if this is my fault.

Otherwise, I have not found any other problems with the game beyond a minor gripe with the presentation of the Dialogue so far in this build.

I look forward to future updates.

I said to myself that I wasn't going to get this port; but I'd be hard-pressed to say I'm thankful to have this port.

Valkyria Chronicles is an amazing turn-based game series that deserves to be seen and played by all. I highly recommend the game to anyone who is genuinely interested into trying it out; it is a fantastic game when I first played it on the consoles.

Over-all, this is on my personal list of great PC ports. SEGA, if you somehow read this, I'd appreciate seeing the sequels ported to PC one day alongside other SEGA games.
