Fantastic game, well designed and fantasticly sound staged.

The music is really moving when it's playing and truly adds to the story and what's going on in the game.

I wish the game was a little bit longer; eg there is something else you have to do after you fixed the "problem" in the story. Maybe something like a descent or so... but still I really enjoyed finishing the game.

A complete recommend for people who like to play something a bit different or which enjoy climbing altogether :)

My first impressions are very good with this game...
there's plenty to learn in the game, it's not (yet?) boring, there's a lot of variation in the skilltrees for the chimera you're controlling :)

If you like 3D action platformers this surely is one you shouldn't miss...

The graphics are fantastic, there's a good story being told which even relates to our current state of the climate, the controls are very good and smooth. The game isn't that long, i 100%'ed it in about 6 hours total.

If I should give one negative (small negative) point it's that when running around corners the camera doesn't autofollow, you have to manually adjust it. But to be honest I wasn't bothered about it and this also has a benefit as you can run circles and keep focus on your target.

I played this game with a controller, as that's still the best way to play platformers. The puzzles in this game are not too hard, some might even find them easy although a few of them could stop some people in their tracks.

I got this game via Humble Monthly/Choice and i can definitely give this game a well earned score of 8.5/10.

I really loved playing through this game...
Maybe one day i'll replay it to see the other endings, but i'm glad with the ending I received.

I'm someone who takes moral and ethics very seriously, so this was a real good excercise :)

If you like artistic (film) experiences, and you also want to have a game that has fantastic gameplay tagging along, this could be something very very enjoyable for you!
Especially if you like samurai/ronin stylized games, this game ticks a lot of good-boxes!

The story is well written, and you actually decide over how the end plays out. It's not a very long game but all it's greatness makes u forget that very easily.
The game also offers replayability because of the story-decisions that you can make.

I'm glad i didn't forget about this game, which i got with a humble choice bundle a few months ago. I knew it was good, but i didn't expect it to be great!

As much as i enjoyed the first Ori game am I now enjoying the second part.

Everything that was said about the original Quadriple A platformer game from MOON studios, can also be said about the Will of the Wisps.

Great story, great graphics, fantastic soundscore, perfect handling, superb gameplay... I just can't find anything bad about these two games... The first game left such a big impression on me that after 8 years I immediately remembered what all happened "before" during the introduction of the new story.

If I had to chose a "benchmark" for platformer games, then without any doubt i'd say that the Ori games are by a landslide the best games to perform this task flawlessly.

The only regret i have is that I waited such a long time before picking up the second game... But that's what you get with a Steam backlog that's literally thousands of games big!

If you like platformer games, then this game is a direct hit on your joy-synapses; you'll never regret buying this game...

I've seen tons of positive reviews of this game, and a few negative ones; sadly enough i'm going to add one to the latter.

As a gamer who's been touching controllers and other gaming input devices since the early 1980's I think that my opinion might have some value for other people. I'm not a gaming god or whatsoever but I do hold quite a lot of gaming experience in that grey matter which fills the upper part of my skull.

So i'll start with the positive things:
On my system the game runs decent on my system (1440P on a RX6700XT and i5-10600K and 16GB ram). I've seen worse ports so can't say it runs bad. The storytelling on the other hand is a lot better than tons of games. It's a nice story with characters that are very interesting themselves too and the story is picked up every 1 or 2 puzzles so you stay invested deeply to unfold the next part. The story itself has some very minor issues but overall i can't say bad things about it. The character building of the protagonist also is done quite well; you can upgrade your character with new skills and you get to discover a lot of "tools/weapons" during the game that will support you then and later on. The levels are well-built, you really get the feeling of walking around in France during the middle-ages while the Plague was wreaking havoc on the population. For a 2019 console game the graphics are not bad at all; but looking at other games from the same year (or even older) I can't say that this game stands out for its beauty or realism. Another thing i really liked is that the talk-animations are synced with the Original language those people were speaking; French. It took me a while to find out exactly which of the voice-overs was the original, as the game was defaulted to English (i live in a country that has Dutch and French as official language) on my system and nowhere was stated that French was the original language. When u change the language for speech during a conversation, the sync will only be corrected in the next conversation you have with someone.

Now some negatives ...
I ended with the speech language; sadly you cannot set the game to use the OG language (French) while keeping the English for all the rest of the game. Eg if you set the subs to english, you'll hear french, read english subs but if you see an item and put your mouse over it, that text will still appear in french. So you can't change the complete game language to english and then set 'speech' to french.
The game could've run A LOT better had they not just blatantly made a port, add some settings and call it a day. For the graphics we get presented this game performs not that good. I'm sure that if they properly ported the game to PC and fixed their engine to use the available resources optimally, we could've seen some 30 to 50% extra frames per second. I've seen games that look a lot more realistic (and need more resources) and at the same time run a lot smoother.
My biggest problem with this game is sadly not how it looks, sounds or feels; but how it plays. In my experience this game doesn't leave a lot of room for creativity; If the devs want you to solve a puzzle THIS WAY, often that's the ONLY way you can do it without dying. It's ok during the very first part of the game, where you learn to handle the game and it's controls. Once you have the controls under your knee I don't think it's really opportune to restrict the player of being creative. I'm not saying there's no room for creativity during the complete game; but almost every puzzle that you need to solve inside a building is designed in such a way that you need to solve it the "developer's way". This results in having to retry puzzles a few times, until you finally discovered which solution, according to the devs, works best. I don't mind to have some puzzles that need an 'exact solution" from time to time, but when half of the gameplay is like this it becomes boring and dull. That's also the reason i stopped playing after some 14hrs. I was playing in 2hr "episodes", and i already had problems finding motivation to begin with the 4th 2hr-episode but after the 7th part I was so bored with the game that even the nice story couldn't convince me anymore to just continue the game. I'm really into good stories but this game kills the interest in that story by adding such a bad game-design between the evolution of the story.
A game can have a good story, but the story can't be the main event of the game if the rest is just some bad gameplay to add extra time to the experience.. EIther you've got a good story you want to tell and use a walking sim type of gameplay to add time OR you put decent effort an playtesting in the game so it's enjoyable for at least 70% of the people that buy the game. In this game I can't believe they ever hit that mark. I've played worse games too, but for how this game is positioned (as a AAA game) I can truly say i've played TONS and TONS of games that were better. It's sad that this fantastic and interesting story has to live with such bad gameplay in the same piece of entertainment software.

Conclusion:
I really enjoyed the first few hours of the game, but soon it became dull, boring, uninteresting because of how the gameplay tears down every brick that was so nicely built by the story itself. I can't recommend this game other than if you get it on a promo or sale. It's not worth the full price and the chance is high that you'll stop playing before you even get to the halfway point of the game. I probably won't pick up the sequel, for those who did I really hope that the devs actually paid some attention to the problems that make this game so bad for a pc-game. I'll probably never find it out because right now Asobo is on my 'avoid-list' until i've heard, read and saw reviews from a new game of theirs where people are saying they really learned from the mistakes they made in their previous game(s).

I've been using 3DMark since the very first version (3DMark01, which was released not in 2001 but in the late '90s if i'm not mistaken) so I have some experience with this fantastic tool.

I'll never say that 3DMark is thé perfect and ultimate benchmarking tool, but it's grown from a simple 3D- and 2D-testing tool into a suite of tools that allows a person to put a value on the upgrade of his system. It gives you the means to test certain aspects of you rig, and to compare it to others that have the same system, it also allows you to see what a certain upgrade would deliver in extra performance.

I Do strongly suggest that if you are using 3DMark as a means to test how well your computer performs, to also use alternative benchmarks to get a more complete insight of what you should expect of your system. For cpu performance it might be a good idea to also use cinebench or prime95. If you want to test a single component it's best to use a benchmark that's specialised in testing that component, 3DMark is good to have an overall view, but it's not the best tool to test a single component in your system.

Even with that in mind, I really think that 3DMark is a piece of software that every gamer should have in his library... It's on sale many times per year, use those moments to get 3DMark for a cheap price...
I just had to upgrade my version to the latest one, cost me 5.99 during black friday to get all 17 items of the suite upgraded to the latest version. On the store page you should see "buy build & benchmark bundle" with the "complete your collection" blue tag if you already own a previous version. Buy this "complete...", as it'll give u access to the same things you see in the other bundles but you'll pay less for it. Some people think that it's not the same package because it only shows a single icon, but it IS the same thing. The complete bundle is only for NEW users...

One of the best games in my +4K big steam gameslist...

I've enjoyed this game from the first till the last second. I really hope there will be a second game of Stray.

If you love cats, this game ticks every box you could ask for... The gameplay is fantastic, the story is very compelling, the npc's you meet all say something different; they all behave like different characters and there are also a lot of funny things to discover that relate to our world.

This game gave me joy, it moved me, put some wet salty juice in my eyes and the opportunity to experience how cats see the world and move around in it ...

I'm not spoiling the end of the game here, but since there are some questions left (many actually) i really hope there will be a second (and maybe even more) installment of the game. i'd buy immediately!

If you hate story driven single player games and cats, robots, humanism and other subjects are not your thing; then don't buy this game...
Although... maybe this game might change your mind on some things if you DO buy it whilst you hate cats.
For all other people: just buy this game, it's not expensive, it's not that long to get to the end (i used 8 hours), and I'm just very very sure that you'll enjoy it and will want to play this one until the end of it.

It's not a hard game, but i wouldn't say that it's extremely easy either.. it's just good as it is, and the game allows you to discover lots of dialog, characters, "secrets (memories etc)" and many more within it's constraints.

i've played this game on an intel 10600K with an AMD RX580 on windows 10 (installed on a SSD) and apart from 2 or 3 small moments in the game when i entered something completely new like a city; the game ran as smooth as you could want (60fps all the time, while streaming on twitch using AMD's driver/tool). No weird bugs except from a single moment when i was able to sit on a stack of books that was already pushed over by me, so i was sitting "on air". I should tell you though, that that happened when the game was not patched yet, now that bug is probably resolved.
So even if you don't have the latest and greatest, this game looks very nice and runs without hickups.

Would i dare to give this game a 10/10? HELL YEAH i would... I believe of the hundreds of reviews this is the 3rd one getting a 10/10 from me...
