Having played this game through as many of the betas as I could, solo or with friends, I was full of expectations when it hit early access and can safely say that they have been met or exceeded. If you are looking for a co-op rogueliike in the same vein as Hades well, I would recommend this one first unless you would prefer a different setting.

Fun Dog Studios has something really nice going on here, with a variety of character classes that play differently enough for you to find someone you enjoy and the knowledge of more maps coming in the future I personally find The Forever Winter to be a game to keep an eye on if you're not already interested in what has been shown before.

It's janky, it's kinda clunky, it's short, it's peak. It's incredible. It's soulful in every way that offsets the very few problems I had with it. I enjoyed every minute. It took 30 minutes for me to beat. I have it installed still cause I might replay it to see if I can beat it faster. It's an amazing experience that adds to the original pilot in the right ways. It swept my legs out from under me. Amazing.

So again, Sony ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the game over and this hasn't been fixed. But, Arrowhead has also managed to make it so multiple things were either nerfed or bug fixed in ways that impede the players enjoyment while enemies will still be bugged in ways that make them invulnerable to damage instances. But don't worry, they also made it so a lot of people just keep crashing on console or PC. Add in that they're pretending that they can put Mission Order events with original player count number requirements and then not even making a failure message, well the lows of this game are deeper than ever and the highs barely feel like they even out. At least you can get the warbonds they'll nerf or "bugfix" for free if you farm efficiently.

Dragons Dogma 2 is a sequel to Dragons Dogma 1. You might be wondering what I mean by this and I mean it in my heart of hearts I can say that this is an amazing, wonderful sequel to the original Dragons Dogma. But it is not a sequel to Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen as of now. I do not think it is meant to feel like that, however I feel that there is a distinct chance that it will result in a future expansion of the game that adds more to the game. Is this good? Is this bad? For now I have to say that is a case by case basis. However, to go back to the main statement. Yes. This game is a wonderful, long expected sequel to the first Dragons Dogma game and I am incredibly satisfied with it.

The mtx stuff is similar to the original game, where it had no real weight upon the games actual play. If you for some reason are still looking through reviews of the game specifically to hear about the one time dlcs for this game, similar to the original release of DD1 on PS3 and Xbox 360, it is not going to drastically affect your ability to enjoy the game if you do not buy the items in the dlc tab.

The games performance is indeed, very questionable. I have a computer that supposedly should not be able to run it according to popular websites but I am able to run it at a smooth 30 fps (yes, I am fine with 30 fps) other than in towns where it goes down to 20 fps. They said they will be patching the performance more and more as time goes on and hopefully after some post patches they will have fixed that.

The game itself is incredibly fun. If you liked the original Dragons Dogma 1 you will definitely enjoy this one. While it lacks the Magick Knight vocation from the Dark Arisen expansion the Mystic Spearhand and Warfarer vocations may be able to bring some entertainment in even though they are in no way able to replace the gameplay brought by Magick Knight.

I was gifted the game and on top of that am incredibly biased due to my enjoyment of DD1 and DDDA but, I think most people can enjoy this game even if it is not on sale after some more performance based patches occur.

The Bye Bye Man destroyed me while I was trying to leave with 50$ worth of scrap in both hands and ass pocket and then my corporate overlords evicted me mid flight back. Would recommend to those good with stress/wanting to play something similar to Phasmophobia while also drastically different.

This game was worth getting a job for. I personally enjoyed the plot, performances and the art. I might even go back and try their other game after a paycheck or two at this rate.

Having bought the Gold Edition and playing through the technical betas and the entire open beta period I thought this game would launch at a functional state, oh boy was I wrong! The game is incredibly fun when it actually works, however having spent so much money to only play the game once every few days for 90$ makes this a pretty big waste of my money and time so far. Forcing the game to be online and trying to rush out crossplay capability has left me in lobbies with ghost players on Playstation more than I've been able to play with my 3 other friends on PC. Bravo!
