I got this game for free a few Xmases ago, and it's probably one of the best games I've ever been gifted ever.

The gameplay is intense! The deck customization is good ( albeit not as good as Wargame: Red Dragon), the graphics hold up great even in 2025, and there's a small but dedicated multiplayer community. Even in base game format, you get plenty of historical scenarios and units, as well as replayable skirmish match ups that will give you endless hours of fun. I recommend trying to skirmish against a powerful deck at hard or very hard. I feel like you get a decent amount of maps, however there's a serious lack of urban and city maps, which is kind of a bummer if you're like me and wish to recreate the famous city battles of this time period. Multiplayer has its issues like low player pop and afk/leavers ruining games, but I guess this is an older game, so the low pop is expected, especially now with the release of WarNo .

I cannot talk about this game without mentioning the DLC's. There is an insane amount of DLC available for this game, and although I definitely recommend the base game, I urge you if you're interested in any of the DLC to wait for steam sales because they are absolutely not worth at full price. Eugen should be ashamed of themselves for how much they charge for some of these unit packs. Most of the time the units sold are basic cookie cutter re skin and maybe one or two actual unique units.

I absolutely recommend this game if you love real time strategy and World War 2 you will not regret it!

Early Access Review
I bought this game not longer after it dropped. Back then it felt bare bones but the physics sandbox play style of the game dragged me in for hours and hours. The best way I can describe the game play is GTA 4's driving and physics cranked up to 11 with Gary's mod style sandbox maps.

fast forward to now 9 years later and not only can this game still provide hours and hours of fun but it's been refined into an incredible driving sim with countless cars, maps, scenario modes, and mods. The modding scene just extends an already rich driving experience.

If you're into cars or driving sims this is a must have in your steam library.

Rip and Tear.. this is easily one of the best first person shooters of the last decade. It gets everything perfectly right. The mechanics, controls, guns, maps, music, story, enemies, everything. If you like old school first person shooters and have that itch for a twitchy fun shooter that doesn't pull any punches... look no further.

honestly you should buy this game for the soundtrack alone (HEADPHONES ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDED)

Another solid entry into the MK series. I really have to hand it to them when it comes to single player content. The story mode is fantastic. I clocked in easily over 9 hours on the story mode ( an hour almost on the final boss alone...we'll get to that). The story mode plays out like a movie with long cutscenes broken up by fights here and there. You can skip the cutscenes but honestly I found myself sitting back and enjoying the action, it was like i was watching a Netflix mini series. The only flaw i can find in this games story mode is the final boss. Kronika is ridiculous. You cannot combo her or use specials, brutalities, or anything for that matter. All you can do is punch and kick her while she throws all kinds of time blasts at you and randomly teleports to you. This bossfight really put a screeching halt to the pace of the game and ruined an otherwise perfect story mode in my opinion.

Towers and Towers of Time are great for keeping you coming back and testing your might against the AI. I don't really care for the towers of time challenges as they seem to be a way to get you to use all your "Konsumables" so you can pay for some more...

If you liked MK9 and XL you will certainly like this title. I recommend it for the die hard Mortal Kombat fan who loves gore and fatalities/brutalities and a challenging roster of fighters

This developer proves its not a one hit wonder with Into the Breach.

The Good:
-Same light engine that can pretty much run on ANY machine
-really cool mechs to choose from
-fun soundtrack
-you can play this game for a few minutes or dig into it for hours
-same futuristic pixel art style as FTL

The Bad:
-It's pretty hard and might be frustrating for some players
-its way shorter than FTL
-its super streamlined compared to FTL
-alot of the problems FTL had, carried over to this game and you get screwed over by dumb bad luck

In Conclusion:
I've played through this game dozens of times, unlocked most of the pilots, and beaten the level on Easy. Its a pretty fantastic game and I'd probably keep coming back if it wasnt for how basic the map is. It's basically one planet with about 4 continents and 1 boss fight. Compare that to FTL's galaxy exploration and dozens of dots on the map to explore per world and its pretty lacking. However i cant stress enough that I love this game and find it really fun, it runs on my craptop just fine with little or no issue. Worth the full price for sure

>implying that grinding every other civilization off the face of the earth then salting their lands as you suppress riots and famines in your homeland with armor rolling off the lines and pollution choking the skies isn't the best way to win every game.
