Early Access Review
After 30+ hours into this Early Access game I felt the urge to write up a little review.

At first you might think that €15,99 for a "simple" looking early access game isn't worth it. That was what I thought initially. However for an early access game it is surprisingly polished & has a decent amount of content, with even more on the horizon (3rd character, cards, encounters....).

If you are into rogue-like (Darkest Dungeon) card (Hearthstone) games, this game is for you. It is highly addictive and has tons of replay value.

As for the completionists among us, this game has a bunch of RNG achievements*, which will require numerous runs to get your 100%. Not necessarily a bad thing, but if you want a quick 100% game you better look elsewhere.
*achievements that are highly dependant on card & relic drops aswell as vendor offers.

All in all, i can highly recommend this game, even at full price.

*review is based on my personal experience.

Short review:
Rock solid! 9 out of 10.

TLDR review:
I had this on my wishlist for quite some time, but never purchased it due to bad m&k controls (according the reviews). As i genuinely suck at playing with a controller, i avoided it.

I shouldn't have. This game is truly epic. There aren't many games out there that give you this much satisfaction after wooping a BOSS. And yes, this game has bosses that should be written with all caps. With all the liniar, holding hand, straightforward rpg's that have been released the last few years, this is a breath of fresh air.

As for playing this with k&m, it takes some time getting used to, but it is perfectly doable.

Pros:
-Gameplay: the combat is challenging, but rewarding. Probably not for the easily angered, rushing in type.
-Atmosphere: i cant put my finger on it, but it has a certain feel that will grab you. Dark, oppressive......
-Graphics: the scenery and level of detail in every location is superb.
-Sound: epic, the music with every boss fight is truly epic.
-Voice acting: simply the best voice acting i have ever heard in a game.
-Replay value: high, i can't wait to start another playtrough with a more magic-orientated character.

Cons:
-Keyboard mapping, took me a solid hour to rearrange everything to my liking. And yes, i am aware this is a ported console game.
-Hearing "This spot marks our grave, but you may rest here too, if you would like..." after you get your ass handed over by the Princes for the ..lost count... time.

Conclusion: my new favorite

As a big fan of the OMD franchise, i felt the need to write a review about the latest release from Robot Ent. I also feel that this game doesnt get the love it deserves. The devs listen to player-input and actually act on it.

This game was already out on steam before it's release, and i was hesitant to start playing it as i generally avoid playing games pre-release. Plus the fact that it got bad reviews didnt help either.

Well after 300+ hours in, i can safely say that this is the best f2p game i have played. Not that i play many f2p (hardly have any in my library) as they are the devils poop, but still.... If you want to throw cash at it (like i did with the starters pack) you can, but it is not needed at all. Everything can be obtained without spending a dime, it just makes it a bit more grindy.

It has the same feel as the original OMD games, but it is not OMD 3 (this for all the reviewers that cant review a game on its own, but keep comparing apples to oranges). There are several playmodes available like Survival, Endless, Sabotage and since the recent patch 2.2 Chaos Trials. Also there are Weekly Challenges that throw a certain objective at you, like f.e. "Use these set of traps on this map to complete the challenge". You can play these modes as a group or solo. I wont go in detail about all the different modes as you can read up on them or play em yourself, but i can say that all these modes add alot of variety to the game.

There is a decent amount of heroes (16 of the top of a head) you can tackle a map with and each hero feels pretty fleshed out for a "new" game. You can unlock heroes and traps as you progress through the game. After completing a map you get rewarded with a chest(s) which contains trap cards and skulls. These can be used to get a higher tier of a trap or you can buy a new hero with them. It might be a bit grindy for some, but i feel it is balanced. If you want something you have to put in some effort.

Overall, recommended!

As I noticed some of my friends having this on their wishlist i thought i would write a small review of this game. The average reviews on this indie game are "very positive" and i can only agree.

Graphically this game looks good. It has a nice asian artstyle and fitting music to go along with it (solid soundtrack). As for the playstyle: it reminded me somewhat of Dishonored. It has solid mechanics and is a more "pure" stealth game. There are several approaches possible to accomplish your goals via the "skill" system.

The game offers different difficulty settings to challenge the player and this adds to the replay value -which is apart from unlocking some skins and getting achievements- not that big. I ran through the singleplayer campaign twice for the achievements and i havent played co-op or the multiplayer yet so i cant make any comments on those. A level editor is also there if you want to get creative.

As for the bad, I had some issues with low fps and i wasnt able to fix or figure out whether it was due to bad optimization or my pc and drivers not getting along with Aragami. This has also discouraged me from playing multiplayer unless i get it fixed. Aside from this i can only recommend this game. You get alot of value for 20€.

Sometimes you pay 60 €/$ for a game and its like...mehh. Other times you pay 0,19 cents and you get pleasantly surprised. This game is the best 0,19 cents I ever spent. I highly recommend getting this (even full price is more then worth it)

Giving away 2 copies of this. First come, first served by commenting on this "review" sent out

Have a nice weekend all!

Judging by the mixed reviews of late this is either a love or hate game. I personally loved the game although it was hard to "get into" initially and it has some flaws. Here my pros and cons:

Pros:
- Co-op - I have played this game in solo and co-op mode and altough co-op has its connection issues it was still very enjoyable.
- Cyberpunk setting - I absolutely love the style in this game. The city feels rich and looks amazing, think TRON.
- Different playstyles possible to accomplish goals.
- For the elder among us: Syndicate Wars 2.0

Cons:
- Performance/connectivity issues. The game can feel sluggish/laggy. By lowering my settings (even tough i have better than recommended stats) it ran fine.
- Some achievements are fubar. For example: you have to shut down all camera's in one district in one go, since the game wont save or keep track of the ones you already shut down before. So 100%ers better stay clear of this game unless you feel sadomasochistic.

Verdict:
Overall i enjoyed the game but it has its flaws. I recommend getting this game on sale (7/10)

As i am not familiar with the Legend of Korra series I might have missed why this actually gets "very positive" reviews.

Pros:
- eeehhhh..let me think
- artstyle

Cons:
- camera is lagging behind. Gamebreaker for me personally and very frustrating with fights.
- short, too short if you paid full price especially.
- the random QTE
- playing with keyboard and mouse not recommended (can't remap) I tried both controller and keyboard to see if the lagging camera would be "solved". It didnt.

Verdict:
4/10 - Pick up when on sale (70% or more)

A friend of mine tipped me this game, and i am glad he did. I remember playing the original somewhere in the 90ies (now remastered and on steam). http://test-steamproxy.haloskins.io/steamstore/app/225160/

Bad day at the office, girlfriend/husband/wife giving you a hard time, dog took a dump on your new carpet? Step in Lo Wang's shoes and wreck some havoc!

Pro's:

- Stress release simulator
- Classic styled fps (think Duke Nukem etc.)
- Comical dialogues if you like cheese that is
- Smooth gameplay (melee/ranged)
- Original skills/powers
- Lots of Easter Eggs
- Horny bunnies
- Fortune cookies
- Steam achievements & trading cards

Con's:

- Can sometimes become repetative due to lack of variation in katana skills

Verdict:

8/10 Full price worthy

*As of writing the game is on sale (90% off) and an absolute steal: http://test-steamproxy.haloskins.io/steamstore/app/233130/

Short review on a short game

Nice little RPGMaker game that is short but worth it. Especially when on sale (currently 0,22 €). The game includes achievements and trading cards. A must have for 100%'ers.

Note:
-You will probably be idling longer than actually playing the game to get all trading card drops (1-2 hrs of gameplay).
-Advertised as RPG but i rather call it a Point&Click game
