Dev gave me a key for free, but honestly, I would have probably picked this game up anyway.

Good fun with randomly generated maps each play through. Has the old Settlers/Age of Empires art style which I honestly adore and love.

Great little town/city builder. Think Banished with Anno style house/settler upgrading.

Solid game, Devs are cool and listened to the feedback that was given to them.

It's a shame about the MTX, but I honestly didn't even know this game had them until I read the reviews. You can 100% this game without looking at the store page and no disadvantage. Still ♥♥♥♥ that this game had MTX at all though for a SP game.

Performance issues are rare for me, 3080ti, 12900ks playing at 4k on high settings keeping at 100 fps.

Honestly, if you are undecided if you want the game or not, watch a streamer play for a few hours and if the game looks interesting to you, buy it.

Personally, I'm having a blast. 2024 has been a great year for games. Helldivers 2, Palworld, now this. Looking forward to the rest of this year.

can't invert flight controls and poor remapping for M+K, 3 servers for multiplayer which means only 192 people can play online at a time... I was really excited for this, shame

As an economic and diplomatic grand strategy game, they hit the nail on the head with this one.

Balancing your rural resources to use with your urban factories and manufacturies feels great. Balancing the market and importing what you need, exporting what you have a surplus of feels great.

War feels great for me. I honestly don't feel like this game needs a more in-depth combat system. What does need to be said though is that there seems to be a lack of user feedback or communication from the game. Why does my naval landing have an insufficient naval support. Why do my generals only send 2 battalions to their dooms against 20. Its something that if you dig deep enough you can get a grasp of, but it should be surface level.

The only other thing that doesnt feel right with the game atm is the desync in multiplayer. I'm sure it'll be fixed soon, and it's not enough of a worry for me to review the game negatively but it would be nice to play more than 5-10 years without having to restart a mp lobby with my two friends.

With that all being said, I highly recommend this game. Its brought me many hours of joy so far, and I expect many more to come.

Bought it way back in 2014, have to say, I wasn't a massive fan of its basic game-play back then, but now? Especially after the full Patch 41 release, this game is incredible and it only has a brighter future. Devs seem great aswell, especially for such a small team. Good job guys

Built a dam to try and get more electricity for my city.

Dam made my most advanced and expensive part of my city flood. Deleted the dam which then made the surge of water flood the rest of my land.

10/10 would build a dam again!
