There is a gameplay loop I find enjoyable.

You either host or join a world with other players, where you all will explore the world to get stronger, level your your equipment, and raise your class skills until you either beat one of the great beasts of Ragnarok before a certain night, or have fimbulwinter descend upon your world, and you enter an endless but fruitless war against the enemies at your base until you are overran and killed

Or you take the portal to escape with some loot at least whether it be after killing a giant, or a beast of ragnarok. Then you start it over again, I think you can tell whether you'll enjoy this game when you start a world and play it through, personally? I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love it.

I'm gonna preface this with noting it can get pretty grind heavy, and if you're not into that. That's fine, I don't think this game will be for you much, which is perfectly alright. It's a niche game

Now away from that, it has a lot of personality and if you're into the popular myths you'll see a lot of faces you recognize, and the different ways to use your spells do make you really feel like your cultivating your own power to become stronger and stronger, the only real downside is that the cultivators are super common too, making you feel a bit more iffy often especially if you're evil which will quickly turn into you getting your ♥♥♥♥ kicked until you get strong enough to burn down an area, then repeat that with the next one.

There's a lot of ways to interact with NPCs but it can lack feeling special unless you purposely get yourself emotionally invested randomly in a story.

The primary selling point is being a cultivation sim, and it does it stellar. So for that alone, I recommend it as long as that's what you're looking for

Stardew valley but instead or romance with cute ladies and cute guys, you get to decorate your graveyard, and ♥♥♥♥ with corpses.

What's not to like? Well, you do kinda need the wiki, but as long as you're open to alt+tab quickly to the wiki to learn more about the game, you'll be fine with your intuition most of the time

It's a real good game, and you know what to expect

I enjoy this game, a lot, but it's definitely a niche.

One issue that's harder to get over is the lack of mouse support currently, so you can't apply attack, block, parry, etc. to any mouse controls. So if you can't get used to arrow keys you won't have a fun time.

This also faced with that each character only has one weapon, and one moveset really. The offset to this are powers that let you play differently in how you utilize the moveset


Otherwise, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on it aside. I still recommend it, the art is beautiful, and the cut scenes are in a way most won't be used to, but I think appreciate. You'll never be lacking in eye candy no matter what.

The powers/skills are a great thing to spice up combat, I haven't used all them but they all seem to be unique and special, fun enough to carry the game itself. Plus there's lightning, tell me what's not to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love about lightning?


Bosses can be redone through challenge over and over again, something usually lacking in these games, and they're usually fun but some are particularly annoying, if not a bit easy. Story around them is nothing to write home about, and mostly something you ignore bar side characters to enjoy

Solid 7/10, you'll get your moneys worth for sure, just don't expect perfection

I love this game, it's fun, full of style, soundtrack so wonderful that I'll listen to it out of game, and it has some Mili who always breaks me.

Though not for everyone, it can be confusing and you'll get lost at least a few times possibly more, as well as some don't like how 'weak' the main character is, since she's just a stubborn little ♥♥♥♥. I love it all, it's a delight to get lost in, and the girl you truly learn to care for.

Objectively, it's probably a 7-8/10. For my taste it was a perfect 11

Fun game, especially if you have a mic, can go from a peaceful friendly chat to everyone accusing each other of being infected.

Meanwhile the actual infected are somehow just sitting silently never getting noticed until it's too late.

Ever want a horror game, but you also need your anime girl fix?
This fulfills both of those.

Good job, you can now get a harem of 6 catgirls.
