This is the most boring and ugliest game I have ever played. Unsurprising considering the main menu has a link to the pedophile website.

Soundtrack is mp3 format with bitrates around 245. It is not notably better quality than what you would get from listening to it on YouTube.

All right these obnoxious ads on the main menu have officially pushed me over the edge and made me give you a red thumb. I shouldn't have to exit the game by hitting up up up up enter because I need to scroll past an advertisement, a newsletter, and a Discord server.

Game was already too easy and they made it even easier because of you crybabies. Positive review with 200 likes changed to a negative one. Not gonna recommend this Back 4 Blood & Payday 3 ass game. Obviously the day one patch needs to address the already too easy game and make it even easier instead of addressing an RTX 4070 & i5-11600K routinely dipping down to 21 FPS and never exceeding 100 even in the lobby.

I don't normally leave reviews for games I have so little playtime on, but these negative reviews are bogus. The only legitimate issue I've seen is that the game has some minor/moderate performance issues (80-100 FPS during lower intensity, 50-80 FPS during higher intensity. Should be locked to 144 at all times with the level of detail seen). I find certain characters to be unengaging and boring, but some people like unengaging and boring characters so that's not a flaw with the game itself. This game is way better than Orcs Must Die 3, although it's been so long since I played 1, 2, and Unchained that I can't compare it to them since I don't really remember them that well.

To address the nonsense you see in negative reviews:

There's a limit on how many barricades I can place!

And it's like 20x higher than you'd be able to place on the first wave in previous games. You have more than enough barricades, plus there's Threads to get increased capacity. This is one of the best changes they made to the formula, not a drawback. It allows missions to be designed to be far more open and allows you to plan things out much better since you know how many barricades you'll have for the entire mission and have them all available right from the start.

Previous games were very linear and forced with their gameplay since barricades cost a lot of money and were a necessary investment. This game is much more open with its planning. It encourages more variety with both traps and strategy instead of just permanently channeling all the orcs in a 1-wide tunnel.

Melee champions suck and are unplayable because of the animation locking!

This one seems like they just swung around in the hub without even going into a mission. The animation lock is because you snap onto enemies and dash towards them. This is the opposite of a nerf to melee characters, you don't even need to aim. As soon as you're done attacking you can move again, so this just removes complexity from them. I think it's a bad thing that melee users just hold down left click without even needing to aim, but it's definitely not bad because it's making them "suck". They don't "suck", they're just boring to play.

And that's it. Those two issues are the only tangible things I've seen people address in the negative reviews, and neither of them are valid complaints, at least not from the perspective that they're putting forward. Every other complaint is vague and I have no idea what they mean by it, like "enemies glitch all over the place and animations are unfinished", or "Bland downgrade".

Look in the comments of this review for a perfect example of what type of person is leaving a negative review. One guy called me a shill (with no actual arguments or reasoning) because I actually reviewed the game and explained why the supposed drawbacks (that the people complaining haven't even played with) aren't bad things. Two people stopped reading the first sentence of the review 5 words in, thought that I never left any reviews at all because they didn't even read the first full sentence, and called me a liar because they didn't read a single sentence.

These are the people leaving negative reviews. It's literally just trolls. They aren't sincere or genuine. They don't actually dislike the game, they're just pretending to dislike the game.
