I logon to the platform and do/discover the following:
  • Age verification is a thing. Nice! It prompts me to register to the VRChat website to continue.
  • Upon being tricked into doing that, it demands I pay them money to verify my age. Bruh.
  • Pick an avatar, and open the server list.
  • Many sexually suggestive games, with one being listed as "R-15", but at the same time the thumbnail shows softcore porn, with the genres explicitly stating that it contains adult content/themes. Nothing is stopping these people from hosting these worlds without restrictions?
  • Attempt to report it, but I am informed after I make my report I am not allowed to make my report (likely for being a new user).
  • I join a public server.
  • Instantly hear the most vile and racist comments being made by seemingly grown adults.
  • People are attempting to indoctrinate radical views on others, especially if they deem you as being 'not black'.
  • Almost all the outfits are extremely sexual in nature, with a lot of these users being verified 18+ users, or seemingly minors.
  • People openly discussing sexual topics, which I then hear a literal kid start discussing with them, and the adults allow it??
  • All these verified 18+ users actively join the public all ages servers and discuss adult topics.

Final verdict:
Look, I knew ever since this game released it fell into deviant disarray when the fad died out, but I thought that with all the time that had passed, I really would've thought that VRChat would have done something about the community they are allowing to exist here. Every server I would join was seemingly like this, and when I did finally find someone cool, it was nice, but so rare. This place is not safe for kids, and I am in awe that kids are allowed here. Play at your own risk. This community is a cancer exclusively because the people who can fix it will not.

I really wanted to like this, but I couldn't justify the constant 500MB of memory being used up and 1-10% CPU utilisation (frequently around 6%) on my 5900XT even on the lowest settings when my entire system uses below 10% when watching YouTube on a Chromium browser and running Discord in the background without hardware acceleration enabled.

I attempted to minimise the utilisation by thread locking it, but this didn't work, and setting it to use a single thread actually locked up my PC and forced me to reboot as I was unable to even access the sign-out page through CTRL+ALT+DELETE. I also just wasn't satisfied with the lacklustre anti-aliasing that was provided.

I'll come back to this another time and see if they resolve these issues, and then maybe I'll consider shilling a hefty $30 AUD on the Hatsune Miku DLC. For now I regrettably can't recommend it.

Incredibly useful. It's worth figuring out how to disable the ring on start up and Steam status to enjoy the most from this. Super close and borderless windowed are my favourites.

Just completed 100% of the story and I am unimpressed overall.

Here is what I was impressed by:
- The visuals.
- The story.
- TAA (temporal anti-aliasing was not forced).

Here is what I was not impressed by:
- A known bug in ultra-wide screens still existing in story mode which adds black bars.
- Encoded black bars in the cutscenes, wasting bitrate and further adding black bars to ultra-wide screens.
- Multiplayer is COMPLETELY dead.
- Story is short.
- Selling a full-price DLC character that is free if you beat the short story campaign.

Overall:
- DO NOT buy this if you want to play multiplayer, no one is playing.
- DO NOT buy the ultimate edition, no one is playing.
- DO NOT buy the game at full price, no one is playing.
- DO buy the game at discount if you want a pretty good Batman/Superman story (play the first game first).
- DO NOT buy the game if you hate black bars and own an ultrawide, this issue was reported as early as release and still hasn't been addressed.

Literally the best borderless fullscreen tool I've ever used. I just wish I didn't need to use Simplode Suite to use it.

Was forced to install third-party software just to play the game at my resolution due to it adding black bars to displays that are above 16:9.

The game is fun, but technical issues need to be pointed out.

Did they not play test this? On the very first mission, if you take longer than 20 minutes, your target will just go behind the catwalk stage and never move again.
This literally soft-locks you from getting a silent assassin rating. Also, why does he have a generic scared NPC voice when he is frightened or spots you? It's so jarring after hearing his actual voice.

I waited years for this.

I love this game, and was willing to ignore this problem since the release of Hitman 2.

It is now Hitman 3 and a whole new rebrand (WoA), now, as someone who is incredibly sensitive to visual defects, I cannot in good conscious recommend a game from a company who has refused to add the ability to disable TAA (temporal anti-aliasing).

This has been a problem for me (and I assume for many others) since Hitman 2, especially for users with high resolution displays.
I find it incredibly wrong to force your players who may have lower end systems or high resolutions to use TAA that doesn't even properly get rid of the stair-case effect. Meaning all you get are lower fidelity textures and ghosting you can screenshot. The worst part of it all is that increasing the resolution scale (which can act as a decent anti-aliasing alternative) doesn't disable TAA either.

> Increasing resolution scaling doesn't disable it (even though it acts as an anti-aliasing technique)
> Increasing resolution doesn't disable it
> Disabling it in the registry files doesn't disable it
> NOTHING disables it

If they address this problem, I can recommend it. But as I see it, they seem to just not care to add the option to disable this technological cancer.

None of this was ever a problem in Hitman 2016... not to mention how well 2016 ran on my GTX 1050Ti. Good luck doing that past Hitman 2 (despite the graphical downgrades starting from there).

The game is overrated... it's just a good meme. The OST is awesome (but short), but I cannot look past how awful the voice acting is and especially the camera controls. I found even on hardest difficulty with no prior experience ever; the game was still too easy. I had the Sam battle hyped up so much only for it to be the easiest boss battle in the game. "Good luck with Sam, dude.", "Trust me, you won't be saying it's easy once you get to Sam!" and "Sam is gonna floor you." is what I was being told and I beat him first try.., like with most of the boss battles in the game.

The most damning problem with this game aside from the false 98% positive on Steam is how they charge $43 (AUD) for a <13 hour game. I take my sweet time with games and still finished it in such a short time. Unreal.

Bro.., what a disappointment. Clunky, unpolished mess with graphics worse than what was capable back then.

EDIT: Minor spelling mistake.

The game made me good at quick timed events and I accidentally killed Hank.
