10 minutes into chat there are people telling 4yo's sexually explicit topics in the train car public lobby. But for some reason you cannot automatically report them for accosting a minor to the site because "Your account is not ready for feedback." Anyone that sees this and if you have a child: Do not let them near here. You have players voting to kick one another, but if they are bad actors then there is little you can do besides "Just block them!".

Same game, same bugs, and new bugs!

I love Ark, I have around 5,000 hours in the original but... While this game is prettier, there are new glitches to deal with atop the old ones that were ported over. Annoyed by your gun jamming? Well now your crossbow does it too! the 50/50 glitch is back with a vengeance, baby dinos rocket off into the sunset, and meshing is back with renewed vigor in the PVP servers.

I love Ark, but I am almost 30 now... a lot of the player base that has been with this game for years are getting older. We don't have the time to invest in official servers anymore, but that is where you meet new friends and join new groups. Instead of respecting that time, Wildcard has nerfed the xmultipliers during events for PVE, making the slog that much longer.

It's been fun, Ark. But I can't give you the time you need anymore.

Forgot just how unforgiving this game is. Don't inspect your canned soda you got out of a vendy? Die of injesting diesel fuel cause you didn't check.

Pretty good system. the water mechanics make the game challenging and forces you to plan ahead.

Keyboard controls are wonky, hook up a controller to enjoy this masterpiece like you did when you were younger!

Running around naked with a trungeon, bashing all unsuspecting friends into submission and dragging them off to bear witness to my reverence to derketo. 10/10

Do I recommend it 3 years later? Not exactly.

While it was interesting at first, not much seems to have changed with this game in 3 years, and somehow the crafting UI got worse. While I am happy to hear someone different picked it up and began to update it again I still feel underwhelmed. Old saves are long corrupted now, so running around with a fresh new start and fresh perspective.

If you are a hardcore survival lover, give this game a go, but if you are looking for a more in depth story with an easier on the eyes UI, wait for the devs to polish this game more.

Loved the story, the fallout humor, and the sense of "F it, I am doing what I want, how I want."

Wanna take over the mohave with a golfclub? Sure. Want to spend your days at the blackjack tables with hookers? Go for it!
