This game made me ask me an important question. Am I happy with who I am as a person? I still don't know the answer.

Firewatch left me with mixed but overall positive feelings. Bad stuff out of the way first, I felt like the story implied one direction but resolved in adifferent, less interesting way.

That said the diolague is excelent, the way choices made early in the game manifest into new unique conversations later in the game are a real treat and the voice acting is supurb. The graphics and visual stylings are quite breathtaking.

I encountered a few bugs and crashes during gameplay which detracted a bit, but everyone's hardware is different and your milage may vary.

This Controller has been a strange trip. At first I didn't like it much, but after a couple of hours in borderlands and skyrim this controller has really grown on me in a huge way.

First, it's 100% re configurable on the fly. You get the sort of customization that you never could with a 360 controller and joy2key. If you don't like how one aspect of the controller works you can change it and tweak it until you have the perfect setup.

The right trackpad for aiming feels like a trackball if that makes any sense. You can even flick it like a trackball and do a full 360 spin in game. It has options for mouse (works like a trackpad on a laptop, or the apple magic mouse), joystick, or mouse like joystick (mouse style control, but it sends the game joystick input. Good for games that don't have real mouse support). I've found that each game is different and you have to test and tweak a bit to get the right feel.

The controller feels solid. I'd say it has a similar weight to a 360 controller although it has a better more ergonomic feel in the hands, and I often forget I'm holding it at all while playing.

The buttons all give nice satisfying clicks when pressed, especially the two-stage L+R triggers which you can customize to an insane degree. I often have a half-press pull up iron-sights and a full press to fire in FPS games. The L+R shoulder buttons are slightly larger than I'd like and take a bit too much pressure to fully actuate but this is a minor annoyance and far from a deal-breaker.

I was also concerned that the ABXY face buttons being placed below the right trackpad would be a distraction, but fortunately they aren't and after a few days of use my thumbs naturally move to the correct buttons from muscle memory.

Another annoyence is that you can't reconfigure the controller outside of big picture mode. I don't really understand the reason for this decision. Again, it's not a deal breaker by any means,. but it does make customization harder for games that use 3rd party launchers or mod managers like Skyrim. I've found to change my skyrim settings I have to launch BPM, change my skyrim controller preferences, exit BPM, then launch my mod manager and run SKSE. Not the worst thing, but slightly annoying because I then can't rebind keys in-game.

My only real hardware complaint is the exclusion of a proper d-pad. the left trackpad with the indented "+" pattern simply doesn't feel as good as a real d-pad with solid buttons. If you want to play retro platformers you'll want to get yourself a proper arcade stick or at least a controller with a good d-pad.

Overall I'm quite impressed with this controller. The amount of customization and control you get is amazing, and the trackpads feel quite good in game once you get used to them. If you're in the market for a new controller it's definitely worth checking out.

The Good: Incerdibly tense atmosphere, beautiful level design with a wonderful retro future art style that works well with the games mechanics. Manual Save system is a wonderful throwback to horror classics like Resident Evil. The sound design is brilliant, you could almost play the game blindfolded and navigate around the monster just by the sounds it makes.
Can't give enough praise to The Alien itself which truly feels like a real living organic hunter. It's scary, it's unpredictable, and it's toying with you.

The Bad: Characterization of Amanda is weak and she's not given much oppertunity to devlop or go through a character art. Very weak ending. Not to spoil it, but it's basically a glorified quicktime event which doesn't jive well with the rest of the game's organic exploration feeling at all.

Bottom Line: There are some flaws to this game but overall underneath the beautifuly terrifying sci-fi horror lies a very solid stealth/spy action game with interesting unpredictable enemies. Still one of the best games I've played. Very worth your time.

Early Access Review
Arkham Asylum meets Munchkin is the best way I can describe this game. The combat has the simple rhythem you've come to expect from the best 3D beat-em-ups, and the excelent replayability of the best persistant world roguelikes. Definitely reccomend.

This game helped me realize that deep down humanity is evil and selfish and cruel. That life is about suffering and the strong inflicting pain on the weak, and that I am complicit in this cruelty...

10/10, play it with a friend!

It's ok... Great way to simulate a wide variety of headwear styles on multiple body types. Unfortunately the developers insisted in including a lame shooter minigame which really detracts from the experience.

7/10 unless they remove the shooter elements and add more hats, then it'll easily be 10/10.

Octodad is a tragic tale about a father who struggles to fit into our oppressive society, all while trying to care for his wife and two children. It's a truely heartwrenching story that must be experienced to be beleived.
