This game is definitely shaping up to be my Game of the Year for 2021. I was randomly browsing steam for new releases to look for a new co-op experience and this came up on the newly released list. I expected an unpolished mess like most early access games and drug a friend into playing it with me...

Our first session of the game lasted 12 hours and we had very few hiccups while playing online with each other and the game did everything in it's power to make reconnecting and continuing our game as easy as possible. We ended up beating the game on our third run through with our experiences being getting wiped out by an optional boss in the first chapter. Our 2nd run going way better as we refined our decks to synergies we found our first playthrough and our run dying to a boss on the second chapter. We built our decks around beating that boss for our third run and ended up clearing the game with the item drops from that boss we built our decks for which was very satisfying!

One of my least favorite things about roguelikes are ones that feel like you need to grind to progress but this is one of the few that rewards smarts and lets you win based on skill alone without having to lose multiple times to get better stats. It only gets better as you add friends into the mix and progress through the content together!

Superb game with the developers making 2-3 bugfixes a day which is -insane-. This is definitely the most under-rated title on Steam right now. Pick it up today and buy it for a friend or three. You will not be disappointed by the amazing experience you all share!
