This game possessing a "mixed" rating is an absolute crime against humanity. The game is a straight up blast to play, the weapons promote entirely unique builds, and the artstyle is beautiful. If sequels were rated solely on their evolution with respect to their predecessor, this game would be at or near the top of the list.

Do yourself a favor: grab the homies, buy this game, crack a beer, get Lost in this mah fuggin Castle.

NOTE: The negative reviews for this game are almost exclusively in regard to connectivity issues that - as less than a week after launch - have been completely solved. I have been disconnected no more than five times across the short lifetime of this game (even when the queues were at their worst), and the five times were all within the first two days.

As for the game: I absolutely love the artstyle, I absolutely love the combat, and I absolutely LOVE the bossfights. If they lean HEAVILY into providing new and unique dungeons, bossfights, Wayfinders, and various other engaging multiplayer systems (which the roadmap implies they will) and avoid the ever-present P2W temptations, this game will be incredible.

If you like Warframe and Destiny + long-term investment in RPG's, then you will absolutely love this game! Give it a shot, and ignore the Mostly Negative review score.

Returned to the game to find it is much more fun and much more accessible than ever before. Looking forward to the upcoming update (October 2022) and further updates to expand the game and offer more endgame content to delve into. For those on the fence about returning: Give it a go - I'm a lifelong MMO junkie and I've been having a great time.

Seriously, though - this game rules. Combat feels incredible. Movement feels SO good. Balance is decent. There will be consistent content roll-outs, as the Chinese version is quite a bit ahead. If you're an MMO fan, this is a FAT recommend. It's not particularly grindy, and the gameplay is an absolute blast.

Final note: NO. CONVENIENCE. MTX. Praise be.

Guys. Come on. The game is unplayable. Not only is the walk cycle infuriatingly slow (this MUST be a bug........ right???), the enemies that jump down in the first dungeon glitch out and go to Narnia. Every time. Then you're stuck in a soft-lock because you can't "press R2 to do a heavy attack," on an enemy that inhabits a different plane of existence. No bueno, boys.

Will swap to a recommend if this is fixed in a timely manner.

Genuinely one of the top five, best single player games I've ever played. If you're thinking about buying this game, stop it right now - buy it. play it. drink your ovaltine.

This game is incredibly fun, and a shining example of Early-Acess done right imo... however, despite the rating, I am find it difficult to recommend at the moment. The game freezes often enough to the point that - though some of the enemies can be difficult - it is the most common run-killer for me. I will freeze for up to 10 seconds, and when the game catches up - I'm dead. Extremely frustrating, but the potential here is undeniable and immense. I will patiently await an update that fixes this issue (more levels, randomness, and variation wouldn't hurt either).
