Glacially slow, rather unintuitive, really pretty, very buggy (though this varies a bit over time), epic in scale, and never-ending content.
It's better with friends but fine solo if you find something you like. Default keybindings are bad and incomplete.

Exploration in this game is like playing desert bus in space but you actually have things to do along the way if you choose to stop. If you fly off to the other end of the galaxy, you'll see things nobody has seen before but you might go mad because it took you 40 hours of jumping between systems to get there.

I've had a lot of fun in this game but the only thing that keeps me coming back at this point is playing this with friends.

Incredibly simple and easy to get into. This is a game you can play for ten minutes and get plenty done. Don't let permadeath scare you, it ends up feeling more like an arcade game than a "traditional MMO" in that regard. The time between starting the game and understanding what's going on is minutes long.

Also its free and is < 20 MB. Get it and try it.
