In it's current state, you're better off just playing The Forest.

Sons Of The Forest is really just a lackluster version of The Forest with a pretty new coat of paint.

-Pros:
Beautiful
Kelvin is helpful

Cons:
Optimization isn't there yet (RTX 3060 dropping from 80 to 35-40 fps at random)
Intro cut scene is goofy as hell, laughed my ass off at "Fight Demons."
Some NPCs appear unfinished. Wasn't sure if what I was seeing was event meant to be there.
It's literally the same as The Forest but with less to offer as a new game.

Can't recommend it in it's current state. Tried multiplayer and it ran even worse than singleplayer.

Edit: After some more time, I change my mind. It's still a fun game, it's just not the same experience as the original. I've found myself enjoying building a little base and trying to survive the waves of Cannibals that attack me. It's just not really a survival game. Anytime I set up camp somewhere I instantly feel powerful, like I can survive anywhere. Even in the winter days. Food and water is too easy to collect. Only time it's challenging is when the cannibals show up, and that's mostly because Virginia (who's holding my weapons) likes to run away when cannibals arrive.

After disliking Halo 4 and skipping Halo 5, Halo Infinite was a breath of fresh air.

Don't get me wrong, it has it's flaws. However if you've been waiting to fight Covenant again, if you've been waiting to run around on a Halo ring, if you've waited for an accurate representation of the Chief, this game is good. You will have fun.

There are flaws. Story is lackluster and short. Don't expect anything big, in fact, you might be upset by the ending. Lots of nostalgia bait. Character development happens quickly and sometimes for no reason. Other characters are killed off, off screen, or some we don't even know their ultimate fate. And some of the dialogue from "The Weapon" had me thinking "I hope we get Cortana back", which I feel goes against the whole point of the story. It really wants you to like "The Weapon", but I just couldn't get there.

The open world feels tacked on. It's fun at first, you get those Halo: CE vibes. But after awhile it becomes a chore to traverse the map. It feels dead. There are barely any native creatures. It's just Banished, and then random marines spawn in when you capture a FOB.

The Marines are interesting. They have awkward animations. They don't shoot at the biggest threat. They have odd lines of dialogue. They're everywhere, yet the campaign story makes it seem like Chief, Weapon, and Echo-216 are the only three actually fighting back against The Banished. Though they do enjoy it when I drive them off huge cliffs... so that was enjoyable. Don't expect to care much about Marines and fellow soldiers outside of cutscenes.

The Banished are fun to fight, they're Covenant... It's the Boss Battles that change things up. Those were great, although very difficult on higher difficulty levels. Still, my palms were sweating, and anytime I died in a fight I respawned ready to fight again. Though sometimes it felt like Chief was taking on an Army of Banished. I found myself cheesing some bases.

It all ends a little too quickly. After only 18 or so hours, I've completed the part of the game that I was looking forward to most. Now all that is left is to run from base to base killing Banished. Hey that's not terrible, but I wish there was more.

In the end I just wish I had a game that felt like Halo 3. Halo Infinite starts off this way, but quickly turns into it's own product. It's not bad, but it's not "as good as I hoped", whatever that means. Either way, I don't regret buying it. However I will probably go back and play the original trilogy over this any day. This was good, but it's not Halo 1-3 good.

Been playing for around a year now. Many changes were introduced in this time.

The game is fun... If it is exactly what you're looking for. For me, it's a pub experience that has a tacked on company mechanic. Most of the time you will find yourself running around in a white shirt looking for a job. Once you have a job, you get a colored suit to match the company. From there you either take orders from the manager, or if you are manager, you look for intel regarding the next project. Each project resets every morning, and each project is random.

A Project consists of collecting some intel, decrypting that intel, finding the file that the intel informs you of, upload that file, and then you profit. Other companies can be aware of the same intel as you, so watch your back. This type of gameplay is, in my opinion, the most fun. However you should consider yourself lucky if you get to experience it before getting shot by some random, run over by a white shirt, or you find a job at an incompetent company.

The majority of folk you'll meet right away don't play this way however. Or, atleast, not all the time. These people will instead hang out at spawn, or "First station". They'll play music over their mic, chat, RDM, all that normal stuff people do when there are no rules, and that's what this is, a no rules game. Sure if you RDM a lot you may get kicked, but you can RDM *a lot* before that happens.

Most days that I play, I sit down, have a drink, try and find a job, and just go with the flow. If you're okay with putting your free time into the hands of random people, then by all means get this game. If you're looking for an experience you're in control of, do not, I repeat, do not buy this game.

I played for 80+ hours and had a blast... Until I got to the end of the main quest. Don't worry about spoilers, it's not even finished.

If you plan to play this game and make your own kingdom like in Warband, don't. The game isn't finished. Everyone declares war on you and unless you're a god you cannot keep fiefs for your life. Your only option is to join OTHER kingdoms. At least then you'll have a chance.

What really sucks is that I played for 50 hours on one character and found out I couldn't make a kingdom because the main quest line bugged out after 10 in game years. So I started a new character and spent 30 hours making my dude and role playing. Having fun. Then I make my kingdom and find out the quest itself is just bugged in general. You cannot complete it.

All I wanted was a sandbox game to run around in, but instead I am lead on this stupid quest that only exists to explain why the game is called "Bannerlord". I created a non-imperial kingdom, and now all imperials hate me. I don't have enough money to end the wars, so I sit in dungeons for the rest of my life.

Do you want to revisit the world of Half Life 2? Well, this is the game for you.

Everything you can think of from Half Life 2 comes back in a way that makes you go "Oh wow! that looks so amazing!" From Combine Soldiers, to Vortigaunts, I was blown away at how awesome this game looks. Simply seeing the citadel made me say "oh my god" out loud. The world itself is just beautiful, and I'm playing on Low Settings!

If you're like me and you've been waiting since Episode 2 (which most of you are) this game will give you those warm feelings of having been here before. And not in a bad way either. I am always finding small nods to Half Life and Half Life 2, yet they've been re-invented for the VR world.

The combat is combat, shoot your gun, upgrade your gun, find new guns. Pretty simple, yet it works well. I'm never too low on ammo, yet I never have enough to make me feel invincible.

The physics! Oh god the physics! Wondering whether or not this is better than Boneworks? Well, it is. Because Alyx is not a 3D character, her hands move with yours, giving you a much more realistic sense of interaction when pushing crates over, or just pushing cans out of the way to collect ammo. It's so satisfying.

Movement is good, you can tele, you can shift (quick tele), or you can walk with the thumb sticks. I however cannot figure out how to turn of Snap Turn. Turning my whole body with a thumb stick causes me to snap to a new angle. Gives me a head ache.

Last thing to complain about, the comedy is a bit over the top. The character you speak to a majority of the game, Russel, is a ding dong. Dude is a genius, yet has some very forced jokes. Thing Portal 2 comedy, but in Half Life. Sometimes it works well, other times you're wondering how someone could be so insensitive. Maybe it's just me. It's not a terrible thing, I just love good writing, and while the jokes can be funny, they are too often and sometimes out of place.

I can't think of anything else to say except this is exactly what I wanted Half Life Alyx to be. Even with the short comings like snap turn and bad jokes, it's a great game.

Not Doom 2016, but will certainly challenge your Doom skills. This is a whole new beast, one with changes you may not like. Yet it provides a challenge that will leave you feeling as though you just took on whatever hell has to offer, and then some. So, I got to give it to Doom Eternal. Story isn't great, but once you complete that arena you've been dying on for the last 20 minutes, you'll feel invincible... Until they throw it all at you two seconds later with some extra hurt.

After hearing that there would be no single player DLC, I completly stopped playing the multiplayer to mod the singleplayer into what I wanted. Now Rockstart is taking that from me too?

This game was once fun when the developers had the community in front of everything else.

Hope you got a lot of money to spend on shark cards, otherwise you're grinding your ass to get anywhere in multiplayer.

Hope you have a few friends who also enjoy playing, because by yourself multiplayer is a very lonely and brutal experience.

Hope you enjoy playing a short singleplayer that is promissing, and then being told to ♥♥♥♥ off when the developers make more money with shark cards.

Hope you didn't want to mod the singleplayer.

This game was fun. Not anymore.

Much better than SR1 in almost every way. Play this game with an Xbox controller! The mouse and keyboard to this game no justice. Download the Gentlemen of the Row mod to get the Xbox button layout to appear during tutorials.

Very helpful.

This game VS SR3? This game wins, in my opinion.

-The story is better (More intersting with more unique characters)
-Still Water is more fun than Steel Port
-The gangs are more interesting
-A true sandbox (want to beat one gang first and another later? go ahead!)
-Optional side missions (Don't want to play side activites? Kill enemy gang members, drive like a maniac, or streak! Most everything gives you respect in this game)
-Fun weapons and unlockables
-The customization isn't as good as SR3, but its still more than what you'll need.
-Johnny Gat is a main character

I could go on, but I think these are some of the main points as to why this game is better than SR3.
Ultimately, this is a great game if you want something like GTA but waaay more out there. If it's this game or Saints row 3, I would pick this game 100 times over.
