When I first heard RoR2 was being put in Gearbox's hands, I was concerned, but stayed optimistic just in case. When Seekers of the Storm was initially revealed for RoR's 10th anniversary, I personally had full trust in the developers at Gearbox to provide something great for a game I love after seeing just how passionate the developers in that showcase were

When SotS finally released, it was a complete, buggy mess, that made the game unplayable for a lot of people, and the content of the update was underwhelming to say the least. However, the developers at Gearbox quickly started communicating with the community for feedback, and after a handful of very needed patches that fixed most of the immediate problems and returning the game to being playable, they released a roadmap showcasing a 3-stage plan for revamping SotS, pretty much completely reworking a majority of the content of the update, fueled by community feedback!

Stage one was focused on items, which before were mostly rather underwhelming or useless, and made all of them useful, interesting, or powerful. Stage two reworked the final boss fight to make it a much fairer fight. Stage three, which released a week ago from when I'm writing this, made tweaks and adjustments to the three survivors added with SotS, along with giving them new alt skills as well! They've also promised to do a few more updates, focused on touching up a few more things that need it, as well as some focus on performance so the game can run well as future DLCs are added.

I fully recommend Seekers of the Storm now that it's in its current state, and I especially do so knowing that my trust was well-placed in the development team currently behind this game. Should Seekers of the Storm have been released in the awful state that it was? God no, it really shouldn't have, it was blatantly rushed and not given enough time, but the only blame to place there is likely on company higher-ups being greedy rather than the developers. The actual developers were forced to release the DLC in a poor state, and then managed to rework it from the ground up with the help of the community by talking to the community. That is why I recommend this DLC (though the content is very good now too!)

I've had an eye on this game since WilNyl starting posting dev vids on his socials. I was immediately hooked by the concept, and the more I saw him post about it, the more excited I got for the release, and hearing about the Demo being made available got me even more pumped

I can't stress enough, even with the excitement I already had, this demo has easily blown my expectations! The characters and their artstyle was not something WilNyl posted so they surprised me, and they're great! The gameplay itself is as fluid and addicting as I expected, but I was caught off-guard by realising the game is a roguelike with a Slay the Spire path format, but it fits perfectly and blends very well with the main gameplay. The music and sound design as well is just great too, it all fits the feeling and speed of the game perfectly

I'm even more excited for the full release than I was before this, I could probably spend hours playing this demo alone, and I can only anticipate how much time I'm gonna sink into the full game once it's available

My favourite part was when Providence said "I'm Provi-done with you" and then sent his brother to the moon

A fun, simple game for if you ever just want to waste some time or want an easy game to get all the achievements in. Achievements are pretty easy, the more difficult ones just take some thinking, or a guide if you can't figure them out.

Overall a great game. I absolutely love Idle games. At least 50% of the games I play on other websites like Kongregate are at least half an idle game. So, being that, I give it a 9/10 rating. Why 9/10? Well, it's a great game and it's actually pretty fun. Now, it's missing a 1 because it can be a little annoying. I left it on for about 4-5 hours while I went somewhere. Now, by that time I had the 7th potion and was level 12-13. Only problem is I could only have two made because of two things. The spirits can't pluck grass or get animals. Now, I would love if the ability that lets spirits pick mushrooms let them pluck grass, and if there was an ability that let them get animals. Or even if just the pig spirit could pluck grass and mushrooms. Next to that, as I've said many times, overall a great game with a nice little voodoo twist that I got for under a dollar during the Summer Sale.
See you all, in other reviews, because I do those suddenly for some reason.

Oh man, there's a lot to this game. Pretty much, Slime Rancher is a game where you take adorable little blobs from the wild, and ranch them. (Kind of like what we do with cows, chickens, etc.) Now, some slimes have dangers, even the first slime you encounter has a danger. There are three slimes that have no ability to do anything bad, the sweetest one, the egg-like one, and well, the glowing one. (I'm not specifying the names for, spoiler reasons, but you'll know what I'm talking about when you see them) Now, two of these three do have small dangers towards themselves. The egg can't be out of wet areas, and the glowing one can't be in natural light, if either of them are in their respectable poisons, they will poof. But, the only things that matter in this game, the slimes are adorable, the areas look beautiful, and the music, one of my favorite things in games, the music for each area, is absolutely wonderful. Now, I'll be seeing you, somewhere in the stars.

*SPOILER WARNING!*

In this game you are a smol child that is chased into a hidden hatch in your bedroom by your MOTHER out of all people! So, you adventure or, get murdered, through the basement, you find many horrifying abominations down there. But you've seen NOTHING yet. You figure out that these monsters are weak to, a child's tears!? Yes, in fact, it's like acid to them, especially if you have Mysterious Liquid! Only people that have seen some videos of or played this game will know what that is! Anyways, after figuring this interesting fact you actually remember you, yes you, are in fact, A CHILD. And you are luckily crying! So you battle or, cry, I guess, through the basement! You defeat this monster that looks a lot like a boss, because, it is! You see a hatch and you go through it! You then fall into what looks like a cave? Who knew a cave was under your house! Certainly not you! Through out this adventure you find these objects. You seem to find a knife? Yes, in fact! It was the one your mother carried while she was trying to murder you for some reason unknown to you! You end up stabbing everything in your path! Even the innocent little black flies. However, after defeating the boss a door suddenly appears. It's black and all you see inside is a statue. You see some other items that look to have hearts beside them. You walk in, and notice the statue is of the Devil! You suddenly realize you can do a deal with the Devil! Give your life for, usually, quite powerful items. You decide to take the one symbol thing. You suddenly grow horns and you feel odd. You go to throw your knife and suddenly a beam of blood shoots out of your mouth! Also a couple of knifes come flying out of your throat. That's probably why there's suddenly blood beams. You exit the room and it dissapears. You continue and go down the hatch. With this super powerful synergy nothing can stop you! Except now you have low health. After going through the hatch you notice you're in the Depths! The Depths of what? Not sure. But you blast through everything in your path. You go through the boss door, and it dissapears behind you! A giant foot with heels on flies down and almost crushes you! You can remember that heel from anywhere. It's your moms heel! So you fight the urge not to kill your own mother! I guess she can take a dose of her own medicine! You continue down. But this time it's not a hatch, it's fleshy. You fight the urge again to not throw up. You then notice you're in the womb. After battling through it you get to the boss. It's a fetus, OF YOU! Yes, you have to kill your past self. So after you kill yourself. Two exits open, a beam of light, and another hatch. You decide it will be safer to take the beam of light. You notice you're in a Cathedral. You battle through an the boss is, actually you. Not the past not the future, just you. So you kill yourself, yet again, and a chest falls from the ceiling. You jump in because why not and suddenly you're in an onslaught of bosses. You still have low health however. So you have to be careful. You get into a room and it's just spiders. You end up dying in that room.
Moral of the story, no matter how powerful you are, beware spiders.
