Even though I've yet to fully master it, this software is incredibly easy to understand and very intuitive, while still offering many useful features. The Dev is also very active and open to suggestions, so far he has done two changes I've requested (Mostly related to button binding). The documentation is also top tier, making even some AAA software seem lacking.

My only critique is the default keybinds are rather unintuitve in relation to other 3D software, but this can be very easily changed, and is understandable considering how it works.

Overall I'm excited to see how Crocotile develops and highly recommend this software.

Criminally underrated VR Rougelike Shooter, and probably one of the best VR games on Steam.

I'm not exaggerating, this game feels complete, runs incredibly well, works perfecly and is very polished. It's very easy to pick up: Most guns do what you'd expect and reload in a way that's very evident and intuitive. The controls work perfectly and I haven't encountered a single bug. Aesthetically the game is beautiful. Although some may not like the retro pixelated vibe, I find it fits perfectly the themes of the game (A purpusefully silly looking retro fps game based on sci fi novels and such) and it makes it so it's much easier to run on most computers. This is probably the only VR game I've played that doesn't have random frame drops for seemingly no reason. The difficulty is well tuned too, challenging but fair, and with tons of little things that make it feel so much better than other games, like the fact you can teleport anywhere you've been to.
The only thing I feel the game lacks is more maps and variety. It can be enjoyed after multiple playthoughs, but I can't deny it does get at least a bit repetitive. Adding more levels per stage, like Risk of Rain 2 does (Each Stage can be one of ~3 or so levels. There are 3 maps for stage 1, 3 maps for stage 2 and so on.) but I understand this would require a lot of development time, even more so considering how detailed the game is aesthetically. More variety in its existing levels would also help, perhaps different versions of each level (Something like a flooded or overgrown sewer for instance). The music can also get a bit repetitive, especially in the first level. But all this is certainly not a deal breaker, I'd rather have a well polished game with few levels than a game with billions of levels that's full of bugs, and Compound is very, very well made. Multiplayer would also be incredibly fun, but of course it's also probably very hard to make for a single dev. And of course an Oculus Quest version would be ideal, as this game already runs incredibly well, but I hear that's already in development.

Overall, amazing game, and probably my favorite VR game on Steam. It deserves more notoriety, and is completely worth the price. And if it keeps being updated as it is already, I don't doubt this game will eventually become more well-known.

If you enjoy games like Hotline Miami and Katana Zero you will absolutely enjoy Ghostrunner. That being said, although the overall game is great, there are some weird aspects of its gameplay and design that could have been ironed out. For instance, the momentum seems a bit odd when dashing and some parries feel weird too. At times it feels like you're lacking movement control when you really shouldn't. From time to time you'll also encounter some weird or frustrating level design too.

The story is fun and does a nice job of putting the whole game into context, although it's very predictable if you're at all familiar with Cyberpunk stories.

The aesthetic is amazing, and the graphics never look bad, although there are some optimization problems (Some zones are way laggier than others)

Despite its flaws, Ghostrunner is a is innovative and fresh take on parkour and melee action games.

The gameplay itself is great, but I can't really recommend a game with this amount of predatory microtransactions. So far they've tried to sell the color red TWICE for $7 each, catch is you can't just buy one color red and use it for all your armors, each armor color is locked to certain armor, for absolutely no reason. Again, $7 for the color red, for a single armor.
They say they're listening to feedback but so far they haven't done barely anything, sadly. Least they could do is lower the prices on the overpriced shop and unlock stuff like colors for multiple armors.
I'm surprised the prices and battle pass got approved without anyone at the 343 or Microsoft cringing and realizing how pathetically greedy the whole thing looked.

This is legit and unironically the best, most fun rougelike game I've played. It's incredibly short to the point you can beat it in under an hour but the gameplay and visuals are so high-quality and fun it's completely worth it, especially considering the ridiculously low price.
I highly recommended, it's now one of my all-time favorite games.

It's incredibly fun for a few hours. The controls are great, the aesthetics are top tier and the overall aggressive vibe is amazing. That being said, it does have some issues that keep it from being a really good game, but the potential is there.
The main issue is how the AI opponens will likely always be on your tail, no matter how good you are. It's impossible to shake them. This means that, due to the ability to store boost and go faster with slipstream it's always best to be in 2nd place until the last few seconds of the race. There also feels like there's a lack of variety, despite the game actually having a lot of stuff in it. In terms of maps, this is mostly due to most maps looking pretty similar, with similar colors and similar style, all daylight, all with a mix of saturated and pastel colors, and with vaguely similar race layouts. The characters and vehicles aren't too varied either, although there's a lot of them. The only thing that changes from character to character is what they say and, due to there being so many of them, they repeat their voicelines A LOT which gets very, very repetitive.
imo Steam Workshop support for custom characters, maps and vehicles would pretty much fix this lack of variety, but they could also develop the characters a bit more, perhaps having less characters to compensate. I'd gladly take fewer bettter developed characters than a lot of bland ones with repetitive voice lines.

Overall, the game is still pretty fun, but it just feels it could be so much more.

This game is truly one of the best indie games out there. The story, the characters, the blend of comedy with tragedy, all work amazingly well at creating a very simple yet unique game. Even years after beating it, I still think about its story, its aesthetics and its characters.
