This game is a lot of fun! The grappling mechanic is great and hitting enemies and watching them fly off feels good — especially with the shotgun and rocket launcher (both dual and regular). I ended up pretty much only using those two. The guitar is fun too.

The game runs pretty smooth, except for when you eventually reach around 10k points in the infinity mode, then it starts getting a bit choppy.

I completed the entire game with all achievements in roughly 2 hours. I wish there was a bit more content, considering that I bought this game for 9€. However I don't know if there is more planned for this game. I still think it was worth it though!

The airplane levels triggered my kenophobia quite a bit, which is something to be wary of.

Demonologist is an amazing looking game. I have played a lot of Phasmophobia and I always thought that the small maps look weirdly modern and fresh, which seems out of place. When I started this game for the first time, I was surprised by how nice and spooky the safe house and the first map looked. A lot of attention to detail, which gave a scary atmosphere. What I also really like is the option of costumisation of your own character. I got myself a sick skirt and dope shoes. Also the idea of hunting ghosts in just underwear is pretty funny.

However, after playing 5 solo runs and doing an exorcism, I already felt the game losing its appeal. The ghost events are scary the first time, and after that they start becoming very predictable and repetitive. I feel like those events would be better if they were more random and spread out through the map.

The couple of times I got hunted, I felt really confused, because there is no way to hide (at least not that I am aware of), so I ended up just running in circles and hoping that it won't catch me in one of the chokes, such as a dead end hallway. Also, the first time I got hunted, I got chased by a weird white gremlin wearing nipple clamps (???), and the way it ran at me made it look like he soiled his pants. It genuinely took me around 5 minutes to calm down from laughing so hard.

I also feel like the leveling and the prices are way too steep. It took me 4 successful identifications as well as some side missions (the ones that I was able to do with the starting equipment and a candle for $600) to be able to level up ONCE. After that, I finally had enough money to buy a camera and start and exorcism by completing all the side missions. Once I did that, again I only got $1200, which is really not much considering the prices of the equipment. And again, I barely got any Exp. I would love to try out the other maps and get more content out of this game, but considering the huge grind, I don't really see myself investing more time, as the gameplay loop became stale very fast. Especially considering that the exorcism didn't really live up to my expectations.

What I also noticed is some spelling and punctuation mistakes, but that's ok I guess.

Overall I think this game has A LOT of potential, I really like the design of the maps and equipment and I think it can turn into a very spooky and fun game with just a bit of tweaking and some changes/enhancements. But as of right now, I don't think it's worth putting more time into, sadly.

I don't know which one was louder, the moaning in-game or my mum yelling at me for installing this game on the family pc and then blasting it through the living room on full volume.
