I had decided to give this game a chance and that was a horrible mistake. by turn 5 I had already run into several game breaking bugs and could not even go back a turn to try again since saving appears to be completely non functional, I attempted to start 2 new games but each one was plagued by the same and additional issues. the problems described in other reviews are horribly understated, if you buy these games do not expect that there will just be occasional issues or just a bunch of graphical bugs. These bugs and other more serious gameplay bugs are a constant presence that are so frequent I am amazed people have even gotten footage for a positive review. This entire game is a massive embarrassment and needs at least half a year of work before it reaches a acceptable quality, do not expect this however because they are already working on paid dlc which appears to be starting in march. I fully intend to refund this product.

Very good game in the style of fire emblem. the maps play very nice with multiple viable approaches to each one, I haven't felt like the randomness has screwed me where I dont have the right character for a map yet at the same time the maps still feel extremely varied and avoid feeling repetitive. the game also has good gimmick maps which are generally difficult to pull off when making a game like this. while I have heard of bugs being present I myself have not encountered any except for 1-2 minor visual bugs that resolved themselves, and there has been more bugfix updates since release than days passed so it would seem the devs are working hard to iron things out as they are being found. The highlight of the game is definitely the unit roster, every militia unit has bases and growths that differentiate their role without necessarily enforcing a build, with level ups and subclasses allowing you to improve units as you need to and further add variety to each run. the main characters with the exception of the 2 basic ones all drastically change your playstyle based on your primary and have unique trade offs that make give them depth on a unit level. The game also manages to be both accessable and challenging through its difficulty settings, difficulty 4 should be a fair challenge for any experienced srpg player with further difficulties for people as they grow more familiar with this games quirks.

There are few paradox dlcs that can be compared to eu4 leviathan and even fewer that I would consider worse, this is one of those rare cases. while this dlc does not completely break stellaris I would prefer if it did as broken things are eventually fixed while unfun intended mechanics rarely are. the core of the dlc (and pretty much only thing in it) is the cosmic storms mechanic, A new heavy rng mechanic that can ruin/boom your economy especially in the early game. getting hit by a cosmic storm almost never feels good even if it is a positive one as it necessitates heavy planet micro. in multiplayer this dlc is better off completely disabled due to the mockery the storms make out of any sense of skill in a hostile lobby. aside from the storms themselves we are also given methods to counteract them, in the form of additional tech, building and starbase building bloat. at best these options are gambling where you are choosing to make your empire worse at all time to counteract random negative events and at worst the opportunity cost of building these buildings makes any protection you receive from them still a net negative. something else that must be mentioned is that the first dlc that was encouraged to be pre ordered via a bundle ended up being this disaster, I would highly recommend thinking twice about giving paradox your money ahead of release in the future as I do not place them in good enough faith to call this a coincidence. overall I own this dlc because I am a multiplayer host and even then both me and my players intend to play our future games with the dlc disabled in its entirety.

Early Access Review
fun little game, but either horribly optimized graphics or deliberate malicious behavior by the developer. this game was able to nearly overheat a 3090ti in half a hour.

Dead by daylight is a terrible game with overpriced DLC, a stale meta, and a awful development cycle. that being said there is no competition in the genre so I will continue to play it.

barely a functioning game, keeps releasing overpriced dlc with a fix it later attitude.
