I'm looking forward to the full release!

I enjoy climbing games, but find many such as Jusant to hold the players hand way too much, never letting you explore out or make mistakes. This game will gladly let you fall to your death if you try climbs that are impossible. Which I love.

Fun little game, worth picking up.
My only complaint is achievements being locked until new game+.
I don't think achievements should be locked behind a second playthrough.

Fun concept but way too grindy.
Worst ending I've ever seen in a video game.
Still recommended if it's on sale.

Early Access Review
-The companies terms of service allows them to blatantly take creative designs from artists without payment or recognition.
-Cosmetics are too expensive.
-Nesting items are too expensive.
-Hearts are too slow to obtain.
-Your Candle should never turn Grey. If someone wants to collect every
candle in the game every day, they should not be punished for doing so.
-A few areas that really need tweaks, such as trials, seem to not get them.
-Almost everything else is good.

The army of bots/fans that pretend they actually have to charge $20 for a parasol to make profits is strange to me.
ThatGameCompany is evaluated at over a billion dollars. They have over 150 employees and it has increased substantially over recent times. This is not a barely profitable company that is barely scraping by. They have been making incredible gains in recent times.

I've spent money in this game. And I don't mind games that offer pricey cosmetics, as long as they are worth it, and the pricing makes sense. But the prices in this game are clearly arbitrarily set, to whatever the developers think people are willing to pay for. A parasol, a literal umbrella, should be no more than $5; not $20. A tiny lantern you hold, should not be $20. A bubble machine, that just.. Sits there, and shoots out a small amounts of bubbles- should not be $15. The campfire however, I'd say is worth it. It's a large cosmetic, very interactive, and comes with 35 seasonal candles. That is actual good pricing. $15 for a surfboard you'll almost never use after buying it? Nah.

This even feels predatory to an extent when you consider the fact Sky is clearly marketed toward younger people. People who really should not be spending this kind of money on something quite useless, and that should be 1/5 of the price.

And that's not even including the nonsense that is nesting items- A couch will cost you 40 candles. Than a random cushion will cost you 70. Who in that team is setting these prices? They are absolutely illogical. It's like someone just puts on a blindfold and mashes their numpad every new event to determine prices.

I love this game, but I will not recommend it to anybody until That Game Company fixes it's "That Greedy Company" nickname.

It's a beautiful game.
And I'd recommend playing it, especially if it's on sale.
However, to be blunt, it's worse than the original in almost every way, besides graphical fidelity and some slight gameplay improvements.
-The quests feel worse.
-The main story is worse.
-There is no truly cool epic moment in the story whatsoever that defines the game as being great.
-The dragon is lame compared to the other entry.
-Enemies feel very weak.
-All deluxe/pre-order bonuses can be bought separately, which is disgusting.
-Terrible performance.
Overall, quite a disappointment.
However, it will provide you with at least some hours of entertainment.

I feel this game started going downhill early, the moment they took away the flying glitch, that was one of the truly enjoyable things about the game. In staid of removing something fun, they should have implemented flying as a feature. If they did that and simply expanded upon quest design, added emotional story lines and good voice acting, I think the game could have done well.

For a game about such a risky endeavor as rock climbing; there is surprisingly little risk.

There are invisible barriers at every edge so you can't accidentally or even intentionally fall off. Anytime you begin to climb, an anchor point automatically spawns, not allowing you to climb in a dangerous manner even if you wanted to. Stamina can be regenerated at any time by holding a trigger; and if your max stamina get's too low, most of the time there will be some kind of platform bellow you- so you can simply drop down, stand for a few seconds, then effortlessly pull yourself back up to where you were.

Expect heavy hand holding an inability to explore beyond where they want you to.
