I absolutely love the base product and was planning to play it for years to come. But the developers have completely lost track of their greed. The game releases with an "ultimate edition" but only 2 months after release they add an ingame shop, a battlepass and DLC characters you aren't able to practice against or analyse in replays without buying them. Since most matches get decided by character knowledge this is an actual form of pay2win. If they keep this up we'll be watching adds for mobile games between matches soon and get gacha systems for characters. Maybe even refill our daily energy to keep playing? Just hold off for now. Players will either migrate back to Tekken 7 or the devs grow half a brain before that happens. All we can do is pray.
