I'm playing this on Linux using Proton, and the game runs fine. I have an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D and an AMD Radeon 6800 XT. I also have a 1440p monitor. Could the game be better optimized? Yes, as they have said themself. Does the game run fine as of now? Yes. Was a delay warranted? No.

What do you really expect? Cities: Skylines 1 didn't exactly run like a hot knife through butter either, and with the amount of simulation going on, you can't really expect to reach 144 fps on your 4k monitor. Grow up.
