After finishing Space Age there are some things about it that I do not like.
I think overall it's still a big, meaningful content-filled expansion that is very enjoyable.

Fulgora I think is my favourite, with the environment being the enemy and limited buildable land separated by the Oil Ocean. The twist of recycling and kinda going "backwards" while also giving a lot of high-tier intermediate parts that can be used. Tesla weaponry and the Electromagnetic Plant is a great and fun addition for figuring out ways to further optimize your factory.

Vulcanus was good at first but outside of the starting surroundings, you have very, very little reason to go out of there since everything you want is easily around where you start. Killing only a few Demolishers and then being done. Kinda disappointed with the planet but it was still enjoyable, and just like Fulgora, the Foundry and Big Mining Drill are great additions.

Then we get to Gleba.... the only good thing out of it is the Stack Inserter, and the chaos of spoilage while also having to deal with nutrients is far too much. Especially when the duration on a lot of it is simply too short. Even when you try to make things as fast as possible. It felt necessary to brute-force it with bots in order to not want to cry.
Agriculture Science Packs also spoiling is genuinely stupid, and the balancing of the eggs is annoying as hell, even when using circuit logic.
Then the soil problem where making overgrowth is so, so painful.
Worst part as well, the Biochamber is very, very, VERY USELESS. Stark contrast of the usefulness the other 2 planets have given us so far.
The weird thing about Stack Inserters being acquired through Gleba is that you are absolutely discouraged from using it there, since if the item it is holding spoils, it can lock the entire factory line down as it will then proceed to wait for more spoilage to pick up. Very, very frustrating.
Conceptually it is very interesting though, I will give the devs that.

Aquilo is very interesting, at first. The heat pipe mechanic is very interesting and makes for uniquely fun setups. But after that? The logistics of having to bring over stuff like concrete or other building materials is fine too. After this though, Aquilo got a bit too easy. Me and a friend of mine didn't even have to leave the starting zone at all. Even just one fluorite node at 84% efficiency was enough to make a lot of science packs and other materials needed to start winning the game.
The Cryogenic plant is pretty cool and I like the Fusion Reactor.

The space platform itself is also too limited at times, sharing blueprints can be a real pain when you can't paste the entire thing as it's heavily limited by chunks.

Dead Space is really good, has a good storyline and great gameplay. But falls off quite a bit after the midgame. And while the art direction holds up the game today, it is held back by its engine.

The Remake is basically the same but the storyline is much better told, the gameplay remains the same but more satisfying. And post-midgame is a lot more cohesive and doesn't fall off like in the original game. The graphics are remarkable and is very faithful to the original art direction.

This remake is a 10/10 for me. I will always appreciate the OG but I will play this remake from now on for my Dead Space playthroughs.

After all of the patches, it is now a worthwhile purchase. Being able to play this game on PC is a treat, and also hilarious with how the balance gets weird when mouse aim gets involved. Despite this the game can still be challenging and that's great!

Honestly hoping we get Part II as well since it refined the gameplay greatly.

Despite its problems I found the game to be enjoyable and the story to be engaging with good characters. I do however think having any time spent in the pre-outbreak prison would have made it more enjoyable and to see how the facility was run when it was fine. I think the game had a lot of flaws but I want the next game to take those issues and fix them and have a worthy sequel that redeems its failures.

The game definitely shows that the developers had some ex-visceral game devs with a lot of homages to Dead Space.

Graphically the game is stunning but I do not think that warrants the low performance everyone has experienced. I think having DLSS would be a good addition.

A really superb and fun game throughout, weapon variety could have been better though it does not detract from my overall enjoyment of the game

A really good MMORPG with a very flat gear curve. There is no gear treadmill like in other MMOs which makes it ideal for a casual player. The only grind is for cosmetics and QoL gear which is still the same but allows for stat changing (regular gear can also be stat changed but requires some items).

Gameplay is very good with classes and skilltrees that are changeable outside of combat, only weapons have static skills that you can not change but skilltrees enhances them in different ways so they don't always give the same results.

A few downsides to this game is utilizing FOMO tactics in their mtx shop and how some mtx is each character instead of account-wide. The story that came with its original 2012 release is also lacking, with a lackluster final boss however later expansions and "living world" seasons incrementally improves dramatically and there are some really epic moments! :)

EDIT - the new Living World Season 1 re-release is good :))

Excellent game with a lot of love put into its visuals to be as close as possible to the original.

After 16 years it's finally here! Not only is it past its 1.0 release with XEN but now the definitive update is out and with it a whole lot of fixes and additions that finally make the game consistent visually through the entire playthrough. Before there was a big contrast in quality between XEN and the earthbound levels where the former was much more detailed than the latter. With only the gamepad support being the last thing to add it will be amazing.

I'm really enjoying the game so far and the new enemies are a fun mix to the standard Serious Sam formula. However I can absolutely not understand why the performance is so poor as the visuals don't seem demanding on its own. (Talos Principle ran quite well)
