I can't in good conscience recommend this game. It is technically good but the amount of things that are put in your way to force you to buy the currency to continue to the play the game are numerous. Recommending this game is like saying Heroin isn't that dangerous, nor addictive.

This game is unbelievably flawed and if the devs should be ashamed to have produced something like this, but since their making so much money I doubt they feel shame. Do not install.

I played a lot of the originals back in the day and missed out on the multiplayer which is really the only reason I bought the game (and for split screen / local play). I played some of the multiplayer and considering that all Aspyr were supposed to do is make it work for PC / consoles, they've failed tragically in the multiplayer dept. Whether it's because they didn't anticipate how many people would play I don't know but I can't in good conscience recommend the game.

The multiplayer is frustrating to play and broken in so many ways. The net code, put simply, is awful. Hits don't register very well, people are glitching across the map, the AI is far dumber than I remember. To top it off, after an uncertain amount of time, the game stops letting you spawn and the only way to fix it is to leave and join a different server.

I've also noticed that there are some graphics bugs as well, not to mention the lighting is... wrong.

Overall, I'd say that this isn't worth buying until some fixes are made... if those fixes are made. Go buy the other copies.
