It's fun for the first dozen hours.. Then you hit paywall after paywall. If you have all the time in the world and no ambition in life, it's the perfect game to empty your time and wallet. Based on nexon's history, you won't even see this game around a year or two from now.

Not sure why so many people are leaving negative reviews over the $30 USD.

You can make a character for free. You can play the entire game for free.
What's locked behind paying, is essentially 1) an auction house. 2) ability to make multiple characters. 3) cosmetics

Nothing in this game makes the paid experience overpower the free to play experience. After putting in 8 hours as F2P, I dropped $30 to try other classes so I don't have to delete my main character. I could have just logged into another steam account and made another character for free. The game is tough, I'm still newb and I genuinely wish they locked the classes behind some form of a timegate so newbs start as fighters. My first character was a druid and I spent the first 2 hours just getting wrecked until I switched to the fighter. I went back to druid 10 hours in and still got just as wrecked as I did 2 minutes into the game. There's skill involved in the game. It's openly advertised as PVPVE, most games you won't even see another player in solo's unless you know where to find the center of the map. They've also balanced it so people who wipe and have starter gear get queue'd into each other, what this means is everytime you wipe, you'll play against other wipes or noobs. Once you get some gear going, that's when you start getting queue'd into others with gear.

Overall considering you can probably enjoy 95% of the game completely free to play and the $30 paywall just unlocks the ability to have multiple characters, a shared stash/currency tab and an auction house (after 3 days of waiting, not sure what that's about). The game is enjoyable. It's nothing like other games out there right now, has a little bit of a mix of different vibes. The jist of it is you gear up, get stronger and stronger and then you get killed and start from scratch. This is my 12 hours in experience. I have no idea what endgame is like because I get my ass completely dominated soon as I get a bit of gear and go into different lobbies. I haven't even tried high roller mode.

I got this for free with my GPU and its' one of the most monotonous, boring titles I've played. Initial reviews were positive so I slogged through but the game never got better.

I played this game for like an hour on release. It was buggy, i decided to try it in the future because it looked fun and had potential..

The fact that the dev's gave up within a year is just sad.

This game is fun but i cannot recommend this for online play unless you enjoy dealing with bugs and teamers 24/7.

1) The community is dead. There's barely any games online unless you have your own premade group.
2) The game has too many bugs that make it unfair. Who holds the crown the longest? the person who can get into the wall-glitch first so they can't have it stolen. The jumping laser? Stack in the middle and everyone gets first place because the laser won't hit you. The Tron/skateboard minigame? Walk into a wall and live infinitely. The floor collapsing? You can stand on a corner tile and be covering 4 tiles at once so you won't fall as long as 1 of the 4 is up. There's a YT video showing off all these bugs that has been around for a while.
3) Too many minigames can be teamed on. You in a random lobby? Don't expect to win, those randoms can just feed each other and shut you down on most of the minigames by teaming up.
4) Host advantage, since this game is played on whoever is hosting, that person will have priority on everything, especially annoying on the minigames where you can get punched like the key maze.
5) Turn-based gameplay means the roll + minigame placement system will always prioritize whoever joined the lobby first. If you have any kind of a tie, it will always give the person who joined the lobby in an early slot the first turn.

I bought this game knowing that from start to finish it would be about 2 hours. I very rarely buy games like this and instead prefer titles where I can get at least 2 hours for every 1$ i spend on them.

I'm glad i made this exception. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this game took me through a rollercoaster from start to finish. It took me about an hour and a half to finish it in one sitting. But it was well worth it. The storytelling is something worth aspiring to. The level-design was something else entirely. The story itself is not something to write home about, however, the way this game was executed. By far, above and beyond.

If this was a VR title. I would 100% pay a premium 60$ AAA pricetag to have played it.

This game was extremely fun. One of the best aspects was it immediately rewarded aggressive play and fighting was by far the best way to gear up and get ahead of the competition. If you were playing it safe, staying out of fights and looting the entire game, you would not be as strong as someone who went around doing nothing but hunting other players and forges.

As of the most recent patch where you can find legendary weapons in the very first chest you loot in the game. The gameplay is broken. It's currently rewarding people for doing nothing but running around looting chests until you get a legendary weapon before you fight. The "Fun" aspect in this game is gone with the most recent patch; which an overwhelming majority of players over forums, reddit and discord communities all agree with. Until this patch is reverted, the game is just another BR with absolutely nothing good going for it.

Found this game extremely boring. Play a real MOBA style game like LoL, HoN, Dota2 or Smite instead.

Deceit is incredibly fun to play when you have people with working microphones. You never know who to trust and although it has a few bugs, this game has insanely good potential and is just as much fun watching the game. You and your friends will crack, rage, troll and hate each other after playing the game, but you'll have a 10/10 experience.
