Now, Let me start off saying that this is my frist ever fallout game. I have played through skyrim many times, and played a little bit of oblivion. I will also not be giving it a score because I have not beaten the game yet, seeing as I am only level 13 with 24.5 hours put into the game. I am also been playing on survivle difficulty so that might effect the way I write this review.

Right off the bat something I liked, and didn't like.

-Inproved character creation system. I have always been big on making a character, and making him/her just the way I wanted I was really happy to see that they removed sliders along with allowing you to add as many scars, or markings as you could want. You can even make them more fadded so they look like they are healing or washed away as you want.

-Voiced protagonist. Now this is something that didn't really bug me at frist, and still realy doesn't. Although for someone who enjoyed a lot more rollplaying in playthoughs than I do this can be a major problem. All they needed to do to fix this is not slim down the dialogue UI, and make it so where you had a optinon in the game to auto skip and player said dialogue.

-Pre-established backstory. This one will once again bug almost anyone that plays this game. I do really hate that right off the bat the game gives you a backstory. This will take away from anyone that wants to have a super indepth rollplay playthough of the game, because you have a motave to find your son. Sadly the game foreses it upon you to be this parant looking for their lost child. (Where if the game didn't do this you chould be the bigest jerk in the world, and hate children more then anything else. Saddly not in this fallout.)

Now on to things after the war has passed, and more to the meat of the game.

-Something after I found out after I got out of Vault 111 is how big the base building is in the game, as someone who spent a lot of time in the sims 3 spending hours building houses. I fell in love of making my own village in the wastlands where me settlers had jobs and did their daily tasks. Making houses for them and putting up walls so when radiers came they just got blasted down by my turrests, and settlers that had lazer guns and Fat Mans. Something that you will hate if you get into this mode is that you can not remove any plants in the ground. This is a huge bummer, because I can't find a spot without plants to put my farm so they are stuck in a bunch of weeds.

-The gunplay feels really well pasted, nothing twich based like a lot of FPS games do these days. V.A.T.S. Will take some getting uses to if you have never played a fallout game before. (If you have, and they changed it I apologie.)

-Looting. Looting things in the world feels a lot more enjoyable in fallout 4 because everything, and I meen everything has a uses. That paint brush? Yup! That globe? Yup! That stick? Yup! This is great thing to see, and I hope they can do this in all there games to come. You can also upgrade your guns with seemingly countless option alowing you to have even more uses for some of the guns you find from raiders. That raider that is garbage that you just picked up? Turn it into one of the most powerful guns in your arsenal!

-Dialogue sounds very well done. unlike skyrim you won't hear the same guard tell you about the arrow in his knee. I have yet to find the same actor used multible times, excluding the raider you will hear the same person, but they have a lot of dialogue options to uses for many differant ocations, so this isn't really a big deal if any at all. Alot of the NCPs in the game feel alive. They all have differant personalaites, and experetions, that really make them feel alive. Something that once again will making anyone angry about is that they give you false chioce. Something that is a bit sad to see as it takes replay value outside of the game, all roads lead to more of the same outcome more or less. I have seen some quests that if I picked that other option it might have a diferant outcome, but I didn't pick any yet, but they all mostlikly lead to the same outcome.

-Quests. Quests in fallout 4 really feel like you did something their, you made a differance in the lives that you might have helped. A quest has you go to a what seems to be a flooded quarry, you will find a guy there. You help him pump out the quarry, and after you do this, and come back after some time you will find that it has been emptyed, and there is a bunch of raiders now living in it. . This kind of thing makes you feel like you had a impact on what just happened, even if it was scripted.

-Map. The world size of fallout 4 is no dought smaller than skyrim. fells a little more than half of skyrims size. Fallout 4 does make up for this in the amount of building, caves, sacks, towns, and mines. They are once again hand crafted, everyone feels like a new place you have not been to yet, and always reward you will something that you can put to uses.

-Bugs. Now I havn't seen may bugs or herd about many so this won't be long. Now I am sure we all know about Bethesda normaly relesses buggy games so nothing to unexpected that I have found so far. From my expereance I have not found as many bugs as I did in skyrim. (This having only played 25.5 hours). Some of the biggest ones so far is that Dogmeat is not named dogmeat for me. He is just named Dog. I really wish there was some way to fix this but I havn't seen anything. I have had some FPS drops when ADSing my gun in some areas of the game, although this could just be that a GTX960 isn't powerful enough to load this, although I get 60 fps with not ADS in the same locations of the game. I have had some textures take some time to load in such as doors. Something that was nice to see is that I have not found any quests that are bugged although my friend told me somethinge about not being able to no sell a robot or something of the sort when the quest told him to. hmm kinda lied when I said the bugs would be short. :/

-Animations/Graphics. Now I have no problems with this I just know that people are getting really butt hurt about it. Fallout 4 has some of the better animaitons of TES or fallout has seen. They never have been know for their god tear animations, and this doesn't change. People also have been getting really angry about the graphics in fallout 4. I personaly think that graphics in fallout 4 are great... This is an example and this may or maynot be ture Bethesda started making this game, say six mouths after skyrim came out. Well they would start making the textures of what nexgen was like in 2012 and that would look kinda like this. Now yes the made some textures in 2013, and so on. But people really shoundn't care about the graphics anyway because it's fallout, not Star Wars Battlefront. If you want to look at something better looking go play a differant game, and wait for graphics mods to come out and download some of the mods. I mean look at skyrim it you can make it look insanly good.

At this point in my playthrough of Fallout 4 I am going to give the game a 9/10. Remember is this not after a full playthough of fallout 4, and I might change it to a 8/10, or a 10/10 after plaything the main story, and doing all of the quests. Fallout 4 has so much to do, I feel like it has so much that I always wanted to see in a game, It has to much meat, even with some of it's shortcomings.

Well this is the end of this review if you made it here, Thank you for reading this, and I hope you have a wonderful day!
