An incredible achievement, made right here, in the very city I live in. Never would I have dreamed of the incredible scope, the insane amount of detail or the intricaties of sandbox-style tabletop RPG's could be made into a digital game of this quality. It's as close to real life d&d as you could possibly get. After 20+ years, a rekindling of the series I have loved for such a long time and won't be surpassed for an equally, if not longer time. Absolutely a worthy sequel to the bioware masterpieces of yesteryear. Thank you Larian Studios. You make an old nerd proud. Now allow me to blatantly rip off every good idea in this for my next tabletop sessions. Sorry not sorry.

A solid recommendation for anyone who enjoys the potterverse. However, it doesn't break the mold when it comes to gameplay, the moral choice system is a joke (seriously, go for the unforgivables, it really changes nothing) and the main story is very meh. For anyone who is not a fan of the wizarding world already: it will do very little to convince you. It does ooze theme and charm, and i feel i got my money's worth.

An incredibly innovative homage to both john carpenter's the thing and the classic metroidvania. great art design, solid gameplay loop. Yet so, so short. Absolutely get this during a sale. It's worth playing.

It's not a bad game. but it's not great either. The core gameplayloop is very generic, the systems are not very deep and some of the gigs are very repetitive. The bugs and shaky launch dont help either. But the worldbuilding and setting are very interesting. It just doesn't do enough (yet) to be truly great. The few main gigs that are good are specks of brilliance in a sea of so-so content. I did get a solid amount of hours of entertainment out of it, and am looking forward to future expansions.

I am terrible at this game.

I've played every major bioware and obsidian game of the past twenty years, and have mastered my fair share of dungeons on the tabletop. I enjoy new combat systems, complex game mechanics etc.

I gave up on the first original sin. The plot made no sense and i didn't have any fun with the combat. It was too fiddly, error-prone and dependent on complete mastery of the stats and systems.

This is no different fot part 2: I DESPISE the combat system (in part because I'm terrible at it, and in part because every battle takes way too long for my liking)

Yet i am giving this game a glowing recommendation. The lore and world buidling are top-notch, the sandbox feel is unmatched in a CRPG. The characters are interesting, and the plot, while not earth-shatteringly original or groundbreaking, has many interesting side hooks and tidbits to keep you going for a long while.

It is a hard game, though, and 'pen and paper freedom' seems limiting when you are forced to optimise every single thing you do with your character and gear. If that, and super in-depth tactical combat is your thing, by all means, go for it. I will never be a fan of a turn based system in modern rpg's. YMMV, obviously.

so far, apart from some to be expected camera bugs; this is one solid and correct interpretation of a great board game; even in early access. Would recommend to anyone even remotely interested in getting to play this great game more often.

A very endearing, yet short metroidvania with emphasis on platforming. A little shallow in comparison to others in the same genre, but entertaining nonetheless. art and music are top notch. just don't expect hollow knight levels of playtime.

A true testament to old-school roleplaying. Dated, clunky, but a highly satisfying gaming experience from start to finish.
