You collect eggs (like gacha, but less attacks on your bank account.)

You make the eggs hatch into monsters. (Like collecting gacha waifus/husbandos, but less pathetic)

You fight them in one on one or two on two battles using various abilities/attacks. (Like pokemon, but a bit deeper, and more fun to engage in)

And the story's pretty good! (Like Dragon Quest, but with a less talkative protagonist, and no pride parade.)

Ark took a while to warm up to, but I find its gameplay to be rather relaxing, and easy to flow with. The PVP is not for me, but I like the depth to the usefulness of the dinos, and the big battles on he map, and the instanced ones, are fun to prep for. I recommend getting your own server, or playing with good friends, as the game's best if you tailor it to your needs via the config settings.

Overall: Recommended.

I love this game. It is so much fun with friends, sadly the single player is really hard, but multi-player greatly cancels all that frustration out.

Tons of fun, and the traps and carnage are amazing. I recommend it to anyone who likes to be rewarded for their intelligence with gore.

Fun, random, and great for anyone who loves humor and exposions.
