GrindForce Kitty is a simple plantform game. And when I say simple I mean simple. All you have to do is jump. And maybe pop an ability for each of you 4 kittens once a round. You don't even have to walk or fight, the game does it all for you.

So what is it you get to do besides jumping? You play dress up. There are over 350 costumes to pick and mix with. Pretty sure each of them is a refference to some character. After you picked your outfit you train your kittens using the fish you gathered one each level.
And there is where the game lost me. You need a LOT of these fish, way more than levels give you. Since each levels houses more and MUCH stronger enemies you will need to grind each level 20 times or so before being able to defeat the next.
They overdid the grind aspect for my taste. A bit of a shame, they game is quite fun with great bosses. It has a cute style and everything. But the gind is way more than I'd like and as such I can not recommend the game.

For an immortal rat I managed to kill it quite often...

Ratshaker is and indie horror that, lets be honest is much more funny than scary. It did take me a while to get into the house cause I kept dieing (IRL) everytime I shook the rat. And that is quite a big part of the game.
You'll be shaking that rat for 30-45 minutes depending how much you die of laughter.

Gameplaywise the game is simple, mostly a walking simulator where you shake or abuse a rat to interact with things. You don;t even have to open doors yourself, you have a rat for that. When you reach about halfway they game starts taking on a more horor theme and ends in an unexpected outcome.

Ratshaker is a short but fun game that manages to build up and maintaining a very sinister atmosphere that ramps up over time while still finding option to just be weird.
I'd advise everyone to pick up and rat and shake it.

The Unbound found a space in the back of my head to stay.

A Space for the Unbound is a story rich game. A story that is very emotionally loaded. Following the story of Atma and Raya you will face twists and shocking story reveals. Its a very ''good'' story that makes you wanna keep on playing to the end. I do have to give a fair warning here though, the story houses some heavy topics including but not limited to abuse, death and trauma. The game is a bit of a gut puncher so to say.

The game is made in a beautiful pixelated style in a 90's Indonesia setting. that is accompanied with a relaxing soundtrack. At the end on the game you even get one with vocals. And cats, so many cats. You can go and pet them all. The game wants you to!

The game will take you 10-14 hours to complete depending on how much optinal content you complete. While there is a lot of dialogue (you should read them all, including the Princess' story) most of the non-dialogue time is spent on fetch quests. So many fetch quests. At least most characters can run. The game also has some puzzles but they are rather simple minus a few quiz-like ones. You either know the awnser or you'd be just guessing.

In short, A Space for the Unbound is an emotionally heavy story rich game that is well worth the pricetag. Once started it is hard to quit before reaching the ending.

100 Hidden Mushrooms is one of those 100 hidden games that should have stayed hidden.

The first thing this game will throw at your face is it music. It is quite loud. And for some reason the dev counldn't be bothered to add a mute or volume control option to its game. The music is a short loop that at times sound like there are 2 sets of music overlapping. I'm sure there are people who would like this music, but I would have liked a mute option.

Art-wise the game is very nice. It has a nice art style and the map is of decent size. The mushrooms can take on a variaty of sizes and shapes, making this game already more interesting compared to the standard 100 cat games.

Gameplay-wise 100 Hidden Mushrooms isn't any better than any of the other 100 hidden 'x' games. Its a simple map with 100 clickables. No collor, no interactions, no settings, no hints. Not that you would need hints as you can easily find all 100 mushrooms in about 5 minutes.

Can't recommend. there are plenty of free 100 hidden games that can keep you entertained just as long.

I thought these hidden cat games had reached rock bottom,
Hidden Cats of Egypt though, I can dig deeped and pick up a shovel.

The cat-sprites are AI made and do not follow the style(s) the background image did. I most of these cat games the cats are just not hidden. In Hidden Cat of Egypt the cats STAND OUT. It beats the core idea of the whole game.

Art-wise the game is just as bad. They made AI generate fragments of the map and they just layed them on top of eachother. Different style, different lines, weird overlay cutting, random blurry spots, random scribles that don't seem to belong to anything. It's just bad with clearly no intent of having even tried.

This is by far the worst hidden cat game on Steam. We have dug below rock bottom.

New year, new...
well, probably the same bad 100 game spam.

100 New Year Cats is just another in the endless flood of not-so-hidden cat games. You spend about 4 minutes clicking cats, no need to search for them. Can't find one? Turn off the colors and the cat sprites get all messy, stretched and zoomed. I mean, why bother even testing the game if you can just spam a 100 of them.

I know what these 100 Waiting Cats are waiting for,
it's a good game.

The 100 hidden cats serie started out great. But it seems the developers noticed that no matter what they do, it just seems to work for them. They are more focused on makeing big quantities rather than qualities.
That is a shame, the game would be fun if you'd need more than 5 min tops to find all 100 cats.

Art wise the games are not improving either. From large detailed maps full of color they went to small, little detailed maps with some random colloring that makes it more look they just said to themselves ''euh, good enough'' and called it a day.

The games good be actually good it the developers would just bit a little bit more effort into it.

No matter how high or deep you go, there is always a turtle around.

100 Hidden Turtles is a short hidden object game. It would take about 10 minutes to find all the turtles. Unless you miss one and have to go back wondering wich ones you already found. That is also the only flaw with this game, it is hard to see if you have found a turtle yet (they get a little darker after clicking them, but it ain't always very noticable).

The game houses a down/up scrolling map with no zoom function. The nicely hand-drawn map starts in black/white till you finish a short start-of-the-game interaction. After than the whole map gets filled with collors, moving fish, coral and lots and lots of turtles. well, 100 of them. some of them even move. As you search through the map you will find 4 small extra zones filled with turtles.
It's a lovely map filled with collors and movement. And even some stuff to interact with.

100 Hidden Turtles is exactly what the short 100-hidden game should be like. There are many of such game that could learn a couple things from this game.

Did you know Bugs ''Bunny'' is actually a hare?

100 Hidden Hares is a large hiden object game where you have to find, (who would have guessed,) 100 hares. The hares are not very hidden though. The game is not, as it states on the store page ''very difficult, ultra hard''. Besides the lower difficulty the game is nice. The huge cartoon map is lovely made and features animated and interactable objects. The whole game feels rather alive. To add to the coziness of the map they invited all their cat and bird friends.

The music is okey and plays on a loop. As the game only takes about 8 minutes to complete the looping music isn't very noticable. What the game does miss is a bit of an interface. There isnt really one.
There are a few keybinds;
''N'' for nightmode and ''DEL'' + ''ESC'' to reset the game.

100 Hidden Hares is a cheap, short game. Great for when you have only a little time to waste.

So many good boys.

100 Hidden dogs is a 100 hidden object game from back when they were actually good. The game houses a large map with, as the name suggests, 100 dogs hidden around. To help the dogs hide they called in help from a lot of birds, snails and cats to act as decoys. Together with some moving objects forcing you to time your search and the map housing mutliple angles, the game has a fun challange to it.

The hand-drawn art style has a nice cartoon-like feel to it. Making an enjoyable map to search through. Music wise the game only has 1 song when seeking and another once you beat the game.
The song on repeat ain't bad as the game is a short one. It would take about 10 minutes to complete the game.

100 Hidden Dogs is a fun short game, perfect for when you for a few minutes to waste.
