My Review for Monster Hunter RIse:

Let's talk about the Postive:
- Monster Hunter Rise is a very fun game. It offers a gameplay loop that is pretty engaging most of the time. There is little downtime between hunts and the newly added mechanics makes the gameplay more fast-paced compared to the other titles.
- There is a huge roster of unique monsters to hunt! The new monsters for base game and its expansion are pretty unique and challenging.
- The story is alright. Since most monster hunter games are focused on the hunts, there is no need to pay that much attention to the plot.
- There are TONS of possibility for builds and playstyle as the game offers 14 different kinds of weapon, all having a different approach when hunting.
- The soundtracks are amazing, it fits pretty good to the theme of the story, area, and monster.
- Despite being a Switch port, the graphics and visuals looks decent.

The Negative:
- The HUD of the game looks horrible. The screen is filled with icons and texts that are not resizeable and will clog your screen. Also the HUD textures does not scale with your resolution. I play at 2k resolution and the icons look bad.
- As stated above, there are some flaw with the gameplay loop. One example is having to grab "permabuffs", where you can have a permanent buff for your stats. But these permabuffs only lasts for your current hunt. Once completed, you will need to run around the map to grab them again. Which makes it tedious and becomes more of a chore long term. Even though optional, this mechanic is very important as harder quests will have monsters that can 1 or 2 shot you.
- The endgame grind has very unforgiving drop rates (quantity) for materials that you need for upgrades.

My Overall Thoughts:
As a long time player / fan that spent probably more than of 5,000 hours of playtime on the franchise, I am happy to say that I really love this game. It has its own charm compared to its other titles. The quests / hunts and multiplayer follows the classic monster hunter formula different to Worlds. Some people dislike it (mostly ones that has World as their first Monster Hunter game). But for me, this is the quest system I grew up to. So I like it.

Even though this feature is from the expansion (Sunbreak), I want to mention the follower system in this game. These are NPCs that you can bring with you along with quests. And this feature is the BEST! I've been wanting to have this kind of system ever since I can remember. If you can't be asked to go multiplayer (as matchmaking can be long), you can bring up to 2 followers on most of the quests, and each of them plays uniquely: They can set traps, use flashbugs to blind monsters, heal you, cut monster tails, and so much more! and knowing that this system is going to be present on Monster Hunter Wilds, it gets me excited more than ever!

Overall, Monster Hunter Rise is fun, either playing solo, with friends, or with random players. Definitely one of the game to also play to scratch that itch on waiting for Monster Hunter Wilds. I highly recommend this game to everyone that loves Action RPG games. You can sink hundreds of hours into this game and not find it boring.

If I could only play one expansion DLC for the rest of my life, this would be it. An absolute 10/10 masterpiece.

Let me start by saying:

Granblue Fantasy: Relink is an amazing game!

As an action RPG/JRPG fan, I really love how Cygames delivered this game and the attention to detail they have given to make this game fun and enjoyable. From the amazing combat to beautiful art style and amazing soundtrack, I am happy to say that this game tickles every itch that I have in an RPG/JRPG game.

The Story

Although the story very short, it is adequate enough and is fully jam-packed with fun and amazing storytelling and battles. You can think of this as the introduction of the main chunk of the game.

My only complain in the story though is some of the English translation to its Japanese audio is poorly translated.

The Gameplay Loop

This is where probably the majority of your playtime will be, and where the game really starts. Granblue Fantasy is well known for having cool and lovable characters in its franchise, and this game you get to play some of them! As of writing this review there are currently around 20 playable characters, and each of them has unique and fun combat mechanics.

You take on different quests from exploration to boss fights, either solo or with other players to grind character exp, materials, and sigils to make your character strong to further take on difficult quests. Very much similar to games like monster hunter, which I am a big fan of.

The combat is very fluid, fast-paced and fun. Since each character plays differently, they can have a wide variety of builds that you can try to match your favorite playstyle.

Visuals and Audio Design

Even though the gameplay is entertaining, I just can't ignore the art direction the game went to from its environment to enemy designs. Everything very much an eye candy and is gorgeous.

Same goes with the game's audio design and OSTs. I am the type of person that appreciates a game's music and sound design, and Granblue Fantasy: Relink delivers well on this part.

My Closing Thoughts

Yes, the gameplay loop is compelling. Yes, the game is amazing. Yes, the game is fun.

As a player that loves grinding in video games, I really love what Cygames cooked with Granblue Fantasy: Relink. From the game's announcement since 2016, I think that it deserves all the love it's been having, and it's a game that was worth the wait.

I highly recommend this game to all players that love a fast paced action RPG/JRPG and to fans that love the franchise. Give it more love as the game really deserves it! ♥

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is a short story driven game with an interesting concept of a main character: Senua, as game shows the player what having a psychosis can be like or what can happen in a mind of a person that is experiencing this kind of mental health disorder.

The story of the game is set in Norse Mythology and tells us the story of Senua, and her journey to Hela to save her lover.

As this game is made my Ninja Theory, the very few combat segments of the game feels really good and fluid but it gets repetitive after a while, same with the puzzles, it is interesting at first but gets repetitive as there is little variation of the puzzles throughout the story.

Visuals of the game looks very pretty, soundtrack, narration, and voice acting of the characters are very good aswell.

All in all, this game is not for everyone, even for me, as almost 70% of the game is a walking simulator. But I enjoyed the game's unique concept of a main character and story telling and got me hooked after around 3 hours of playing the game. I was going to give this game a negative review, but I understand that for people that love this kinds of games, It's REALLY good.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is a solid experience for me.
Story is 9/10
Walking Simulator is a 2/10

Early Access Review
As an early access game, I am very impressed on how much content Palworld gives us. I honestly cannot wait for future updates.

Nintendo could never make a pokemon game this good.

Loved DOOM 2016? Well, you're in for a treat for this game as well!

DOOM Eternal is the sequel of DOOM 2016 and has every features the first game has, and in my opinion, better. Some of them are: Added enemy variations and weakness mechanics, more arsenals and upgrade systems, a dash, easier map and collectibles progression, DOOM Slayer now has screen time on cutscenes (I mean, who doesn't like that?) and more!

This game has beautiful visuals and graphics, very fluid gun play and mechanics, and an absolute banger OSTs as expected.

As writing this review I finished the campaign on Nightmare difficulty and I loved it from start to finish! It is much more challenging compared to the first game, making my experience feel like every boss / enemy encounter is a challenge.

I highly recommend this to everyone that has played DOOM 2016 and/or loves a good fps game!

As with DOOM 2016, I would also give DOOM Eternal a Rip and Tear out of 10!

Tales of Arise is a very beautiful JRPG set in a fantasy world from the "Tales" franchise.

These are some of the features / parts of the game that I liked:
- Since this game is a JRPG, the game's story is quite lengthy so players would enjoy a fleshed out story of the game.
- This game has very stunning graphics that looks really good and amazing visual designs for every realms and worlds that you will be visiting.
- Audio and OST is REALLY good. I liked both of the openings and the ending OST of the game.
- Combat animations are really good and flashy.
- There are a lot of enemy and boss variety and their design looks really good.

Things I didn't like:
- Combat can get spammy and repetitive after a while.
- Some bosses tied in the main story of the game didn't have a satisfying conclusion when defeating them.
- The game can get a little grindy especially on the final level.

Overall I really love the game and enjoyed the story from start to finish. I would highly recommend this game to any JRPG and Tales lovers!

This game seems like a child's game at first glance, but once you get into the harder difficulties it gets challenging and that's the most fun part of the game for me.

Love it!
