Overall, I’m enjoying it so far, but some mechanics feel rough and could use improvement. However, as there is just a "Yes"/"No" button, and for the game price tag, that one`s a no.

Before anyone downvotes or calls me out, I’ve only played the Ancient Era so far, and I’m currently at the point shown in the picture above. I restarted a few times until I got a grasp of the new mechanics and could keep up with the AI difficulty (Sovereign, because I’m insane). My experience with CIV games comes from titles I played as a child and a few incomplete games in CIV 6.

Positive Aspects:

AI seems less friendly overall – I’m no longer left alone for hundreds of turns before someone declares war on me.
I like the meta-progression concept, though I’m unsure how well it fits multiplayer.
Damn, this game is beautiful.
Removal of Workers and the new City People System – I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I actually like it.
Walls now being multi-tiled is a great change.
Combat feels solid, and the addition of the Commander makes it even better.

Negative Aspects:

Map size issues – Every game turns into a "rush two Explorers, train a Settler, buy a Settler, or lose all the good city locations" scenario. You need to get Settlers quickly before you’re completely surrounded.
The UI is frustrating – The first three hours feel overwhelming, especially if you're not used to confusing UIs. I’m fairly quick at handling complex interfaces like Dwarf Fortress or CDDA, but even then, this one is rough. At least those two games have an excuse—too much info for too little UI space.
City management feels unclear – It’s hard to tell at a glance what your city is producing or its overall state. If you capture an enemy base, good luck figuring out what the previous owner did with it and how to “fix” it.
No unit upgrades for experience – This makes all units feel too expendable.
It’s hard to gauge progress – It’s confusing to tell whether you’re ahead or behind, or how close the era is to ending.

There is no time to chat, time for a pentakill

Maybe the best MOBA Simulator out there
However, many issues too!

DISCLAIMER WARNING: Starting with that disclaimer, we got ourselves a small company trying exceeding my expectations. I've played a bunch time in the BETA (20-ish hours) and got to play into Hard Difficulty.

First of all, I must say that the game is a pretty good upgrade from any competitors in the genre - which aren't that many - out there. We got a good amount of heroes, quite in-depth stats that really matter, a learning curve which can make you win or lose many games out there.

Saying that, there are really some champions that you gonna look and say ''wow that's busted'', however the problem doesn't is the champion per say, but their combinations which can steam-roll fights, guarantee objectives to the point which IA don't even try to contest and let you just win the game early.

We got some balancing issues with single champions which allow such Technics to happen, and, isolated, we got some oppressive issues with the stacking cards some of them have - yet i didn't see the AI trying to abuse or counter those tactics. The banning systems seems weird to me, as AI keeps banning the same champions, perhaps by understanding some specific counters their team is looking forward or the amount of "Physical-Damage" champions they give you in the start.

The game can be a bit boring in the sense of the amount of "next" or slow it feels to close out a game that doesn't have a proper comeback as the specific composition I've made doesn't seem to properly have a counter - nor the AI bans my most used champions, which is amounting to the 10th match in a row in the playoffs.

If i recommend the game? Hell yeah, as I said, the developers did impress me by doing something better and new compared with what we have on the market, so heads on to GG.

Devs, if you plan to address such issues, I see no problem even changing my review with new points and be more positive with it. To this point, I do recommend with my heart

7.5/10 Game without any patches at launch day.

Nah, only nah.

If you desire something HARD to play, go to rimworld or dwarf fortress. No matter if they are different kind of game, but at least their numbers give you freedom, and not a doom "always" random disaster that keeps you losing money, influence and time.

---------------- English Analysis ----------------

Before we start what do I think about the game, let put some pieces on the table. The game was in development in a spam time of 8 years, where they did SCRAP the first project. After that, they did build an new engine (pretty much stronger than the former) and then the game. The game has very attention to details like movement of horse and body shapes. The most complex part of the game is done on EA, yet they miss some features like a plenty of quests. As they did the harder part already, the game is Good!

I would change the vote to NO if they quit the game in the state it is, yet I dont think that will happen. Anyway, dudes, stop saying "HUR I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR 8 YEARS!". You didn't pay them for 8 years, just for the game right now.

There is just an Unique problem down there:
Many DLCs! I've already paid 272,54 Reais (Something like 100 Bucks?) on this game...
Still, The game is very fun, but please, made it cheaper for all!
