Leaving my original early review down below. Update after finishing all 4 bosses and playing for over 70 hours.

This game is extremely fun. That's the most important thing. I've had more than enough fun playing this game to justify the very reasonable cost. If you like tower defense games and rogue lite games this is for you. Unlike the mainline OMD games the characters feel meaningfully different to play (Kalos is my favorite).

There is a lot of disagreement on barricade limits but personally I think that it works well on most maps and is a positive change for the game. Being able to just zig zag enemies all around the map forever isn't as interesting a way to play. However the devs do care and do listen to feedback so there is a new update adding in purchasable barricades for those who really want that.

Speaking of the developers they are great. They are very active in discord for answering questions and for taking feedback. The game has a bright future with these devs at the helm. They are quick to implement feedback as well. 2nd significant update since launch coming out today.

Is the game perfect? No of course not. It's a small game by a smaller team sold for only $30. However it's in a pretty good place right now with a lot of content coming. New character soon, new maps in the works, an alchemist for giving you buffs on runs, and more.

ORCS MUST DIE!

As of writing this review I have done several runs and beaten the first boss.

I'm loving the game so far. It is fun and engaging with some nice changes to the formula. The rogue lite elements will help a lot with replayability (though the game needs more maps, which the devs have said are coming for free). The characters are unique and interesting instead of being mostly the same which also helps make the game more interesting.

Personally I like the barricade change. I know some don't but getting a bunch right away and not being able to spam place them everywhere is a good balance change that makes the game better.

I'll update this review with more detail later but for now I'm loving the game. Good job devs!

The included outfits are cool and supporting Robot on the release of this game is cool!

Overwatch 2 is vastly worse than Overwatch 1 was. It's worse balanced, less fun, and has a more toxic community. Play this if you want to be miserable.

Overwatch Classic no limits was really fun. Now that that's over there's no fun in the game.

The Finals continues to impress me. A competitive shooter with unique mechanics, great destruction, and immaculate vibes. Highly recommend this game.

Dave the Diver is a must play game. One of the best 2023 releases I have played. It's silly, fun, and addicting.

The community reaction is way over blown. The story has some writing issues but it's extremely fun, the new area is cool, the new enemy type is actually interesting and fun to fight instead of being another bullet sponge, and this is just the start of a new year of content.

Pretty decent but not amazing start to this year of Destiny.

The good
- Neomuna is a cool new patrol location that stands out visually both in terms of design and quality
- Tormentors are terrifying on legend and fun to fight. Nice to have an enemy that's tough to beat that's not because they just have more health or a shield again
- The new strike is one of my favorite in the game
- The music and sound effects are top tier within Destiny
- Strand is really fun during the campaign when you can spam abilities all the time, makes the campaign a lot of fun especially with friends

The meh
- Pacing isn't the best. Felt good at first but the game feels like it should have another mission or two focused on the Veil, Neomuna, and Calus rather than just on Strand
- The starting and ending cutscenes are both super cool and visually stunning but they seem to be one long scene cut in half which doesn't make a ton of sense given that the entire campaign takes place in between

The bad
- They make an excuse for none of the people who live in Neomuna to be in the city yet they have an audio line that says all citizens were called to active defense. If they are being called to active defense why do they never show up even in the battle where we have allies fight with us. I totally get them writing away the characters overall but it would have been cool if when we first get to Neomuna they were there running indoors or something instead of never being seen.
- Strand post campaign has way too slow of cooldowns. It makes some abilities near useless. This balancing issue needs to and likely will change.
- The community. People right now seem to enjoy dissing on the game. It's really not anywhere near that bad. Also the people intentionally misgendering a certain character need to stop.

Overall I think Bungie did a fine job. It's unfortunate because this was the time they really needed to do an amazing job though. They had the chance to get a lot of people back and instead I think this might hurt growth partially from the issues and partially from the community. I'd give this expansion a 7.5 so far. I may up that to an 8 once I play through the exotic missions as I've heard they do add more to the story.

Borderlands 2 is an excellent loot shooter. Really one of the best ever created. A hilarious game with a fun story, great gameplay, and something you can easily dump 100+ hours into. The DLC expands on that and is amazing as well. Especially the Tiny Tina DLC.

It's a real shame that people are leaving reviews unrelated to this game and 100% unrelated to actually playing the game they are complaining about. A Game that is 5 months away. Don't let that deter you from this game. There is a reason they are so passionate about Borderlands 3 and it's release. If this game wasn't amazing we wouldn't be seeing the same reaction about the next in the series.

If you are considering this game, BUY IT. You wont regret it.

I like the game. Good way to waste some time. Right now I'm having a huge issue though where I can click and it knows I'm clicking because it higlights the tile but it does't actually do anything... Makes it hard to interact with the game.
