Unlike most games that have a buggy release (looking at your Cyberpunk 2077), this game has a firm and established foundational framework in place; I'd be willing to state this game IS finished but the polishing, needed QOL fixing, bug addressing and random crashes make it hard to give this a higher rating than 8/10 for its release however the team at GSC are hard at work, listening to their fanbase as well as their bug reports.
The game is extremely modular when looking at it as both a developer and consumer of modded content creation. There are 40+ pages of mods already on the Nexus only 5 weeks after its official rocky release. But they are hard at work in dealing with these matters and optimizing as they go. Graphics and level design are AAA grand studio quality and it's amazing I can even run this game on medium/high with just a 6600xt and a ryzen 7 5700x. Mods make this game even better, but I hope the dev's buckle down and make their new A-LIFE system not only on par with the first stalker in the series but better.

It's an interesting concept, but the controls are clunky, the movement is awkward and the playable modes are just no fun, they need a co op mode or something immediately. The overlay effect is too much as well, it feels more like a playable demo for the unreal 5 engine to make cinematic gun fights in and nothing else really.

This game was creatd by a company known for mobile games and creating (or *re-creating*) SuperHero games for console from a mobile platform. After downloading, and with a download speed of 20 Mb/s (not MBits) it took 10 minutes to 'update' the game after it was downloaded (from the main menu) and it is so far 15 minutes in after joining one of three servers available and it is STILLL "Creating Character".... I have a Ryzen 7 5800x and a 6600 XT and I am still waiting. If it isn't done within 4 minutes I wioll be Alt-F4'ing and uninstalling.

ITS HORRIBLE. Why do people think they can pull success from Early Access when their foundation of what their game is meant to be isn't straight to the point and simple. I wasted 25 mins of my life on another EA title but oh well - it happens, just frustrating to see fellow indie devs employ this kind of ethic/;ack of ethic.
There's lots of assets neatly placed and that's tedious sure, but that is why games like this are meant to be made by certain kinds of patient people who can sit all day and mess about within the assset editor of (in this case: Unreal Engine) placing small assets like mail boxes and decorations onto other assets like houses etc.
I start a mission, no objective, no tutorial (i literallly mashed buttons to find the "RTS view" but there is no fps controls nor RTS you can aim and shoot in first person only I kept selecting one unit and while yes I can press 1-0 to select the individual unit it doesn't mean I know which one he is unless I was looking at him as another solder in first person.
You can drag to select troops but that is all. You can't simply "right click to attack to this position". I truly don't understand why games like this are released in such an early EARLYYYYYYYYY alpha state. It's just rubbish. Thanks Valve for the digital marketplace where opportunity exists as well as refunds for games that drop you into a random game world, the "campaign" selection (global or not "global") had no effect the "skill tree" to unlock soldiers doesn't seem to have any actual work put into it, as their cost is very ambiguous because you don't know what you get. My first round I was simply trying to figure out how this isn't a simple FPS like doom 1 on PS1 with modern 3D graphics and a "PERSPECTIVE VIEW-CAM" as this is not an RTS/RTT in any way shape or form.

really enjoyed my trial. Two bugs were experienced though. It auto-skipped thetutorial (assuming it's in the game that is) and just said "tutorial completed" and got the "finish the tutorial" achievement. I really wish I could have seen it though lol.
It plays a bit out like rust and Sons of the Forest had a babyand I'm definitely gonna buy it when I get paid! (btw for those that are unaware the lead dev of this game is who made DayZ (the mod back before ARMA 3 was even released.) and that game has been out for like 15 years now and DayZ since became its own standalone game at Bohemia! Imagine you make a half life mod so good the company publicly not only acknowledges that they have seen a sharp rise in sales because people just wanted to play the DayZ mod...Soo...the game is gonna be good_

Game's always been entertaining, - the only change I'd really love to see is have the time slowed down and have an option longer than 45 minutes for the day - as that includes all your post and pre-shift time which you skip by going to sleep anyawy - so even the longest "day duration" of 45 minutes only gives you time to check thouroughly the undercarriage and which unless you keep the "snake decal" that appears in some of the smugglers cars but that kinda kills the game in my opinion as what is the point of playing if you're just shining a light to look for a snake icon and unless there is one you just let them go or write down the number of broken parts.

overall: YES IT'S WORTH WHAT THEY ASK- BUY IT

If you're not a huge fan of the series (like me: who's only owned two assassins creed starting @ Origins) but never got into the game - you WILL enjoy this game. It's got some good story and the combat (while button mashy) is still enjoyable. I will actually continue to play this unlike the Origins and the ...I forget the other one but it came out around the same time as Valhalla)

NEW EDIT:
So the dev was offered someone make maps for free, he didnt even ask to see their/my work and just said no.
Since writing this review I have seen 10 new guns that all fire the same calibre/DO THE SAME THING yet there is still 3-4 maps (3 if SP and gl as Vector destoryed the SP aspect).

only get this is youre a kid that jjust wants more needless and useless content, don't get it cuz you want to have fun.

OLD POSITIVE REIVEW:

I heard the dev team is 1-2 people but cannot verify. (i technically heard it's only one guy). Regardless if there is ten or more people working on this - it's already worth it's $20 USD. To be honest I was mainly interested in seeing how this compares to Black One Blood Brothers, Ground Branch, Arma III and Ready or Not.
While the AI in this game is still establishing it's foundation, the ENTIRE "lobby screen" (whether solo or co-op) is similar to Ground Branch except you can tell the developer(s) asked themself 'how can I do this better'.
Right now this game has enough content, entertainment, and interesting things to try out that even me - the dude who refunded hunt showdown though love(d) EFT back in the 0.9 and before days. The guy who refunded games likes Against the Storm (> 150k reviews with 'overwhelmingly positive') and even threw Ground Branch and RoN the love it's earned.
But for a game that doesn't have much coverage or much of a spotlight this game shines. Want a break from GB? RON? both? Or just looking for something other than those (the two 'tactical shooters' focused on realism, realistic FPS mechanics, movement mechanics, etc. then just know that this game is ALREADY competing with GB. Not yet with the textures, models, animations or UI, but GB has been in EA for 3.5 years already and this JUST came out (no offense to GB - it will be fantastic when it's finally done).
But what we have here is something you can risk your money on because I can guarantee that if you want the following things, you will be glad your joined EA!:
A SP experience.
A 'open-world'(ground branch style) approach to operation's,
A fantastic CO-OP experience that allows you to employ the same tactics and training you can employ in games like RoN and ARMA III.
Very cool operator customization.
Very neat weapon customization.
Fluid Controls.
Realistic physics.
Realistic AI injuries(though sometimes can be outright fake! two examples:
1(good): Shot a guy through a door and heard him drop and start moaning. Fired more shots where I suspected he was laying and instead of an obvious "ulghh!!!!"*death* it was more so a *"hu!-"* and no more noise.
2(bad): Shot a guy through a fence. He dropped. As he was standing back up I fired x6 9x19mm rounds into his hip and legs. He fell again. At this point I don't know what "state" the AI was in - but it seemed like he was trying to stand up again, so I put a well placed shot to the face and he dropped.

While GB is one of those games I'll occasionally d/l again and play for 2-5 hrs and then uninstall - this feels similar - however I will update this when I'm @ 20 hrs and see if it feels the same.

If you're the developer and want to see my resume - please add me as a friend. I am familiar with Unity, c#, javascript, lua, unity SDK/Editor (I can make maps) and I also like making AI algorithms for a more dynamic experience.
I also have a 39 page story that was meant to be a EFT mod (that takes place right before USEC leaves their merc's and prior to the 'blue flame'/initial EMP nuke.
Would love to be a part of this as a "community modder" until I can show you what I can do. Let me know.
