This was a great adventure.
The combat is fast, flexible, but still feels meaty. The levels are beautiful and fun to explore. Learning new force abilities provides a nice sense of progression. Some let you traverse areas you couldn't reach before, while others give you more options while taking on the Empire. I particularly like that your upgrades, for the most part, are obvious and pronounced.
I also liked the fact that the plot doesn't feel like it takes a back seat, compared to other games. I wasn't sure about the characters at first, but by the end I was rooting for all of them. The plot and cinematics can also really help drive you, if you're the type to get demotivated in an open world.
Each planet hides plenty of surprises, good and bad. But nothing stood out that felt too frustrating or unfair (Playthrough on "Jedi Master"). While there's little gameplay-changing gear to get, there's a solid amount of customization to be had.
