The developers of this game deserve The "Labor of love" award. Thank you so much for your dedication in the past 10 years.

TL;DR: a promising Manhwa XCOM game involves directing squads of superheroes to save the day.

From my experience with the current state of the game, I would not say this is a mashup of FFT and XCOM, but rather "Manhwa XCOM" is a better term for this game. Unless "Job change" feature is going to be implemented, I would not claim this game as FFT-like but just a kind of unique character progression. Claiming to be mashup of both is gaining more attention, though it may backfire as it raises the player's expectation.

A big problem that I found is there are too many types of dialog. I notice there are 3 styles: NV style (where you can increase speed and skip each line), movie style (autonomous, only option is to skip the whole conversation), bubble manhwa style (autonomous). A cutscene with all 3 styles is really hard to follow, I would recommend just sticking with one, probably NV style is the best to fit this case.

Overall, I find that the game has a really promising future. The storyline, character progression and character's background have enough depth to keep the gameplay interesting. The combat and tactics are almost identical to XCOM, with more supermoves to play around with. Another thing during my gameplay raises a question is the accuracy/dodge rolls are favoring the player, or is it just me being lucky? As I got my asses handed to me too many times in other games even with high percentage. Anyhow, the developers are heading in the right direction. Hope you guys can keep this up! I would recommend this game for any turn-based RPG fans.

TL;DR: Behold the new Diablo of the decade, a naked fat hero with two big butts, shooting lightning from his left hand and smash stuff with his right hand.

I am a Kickstarter backer for Umbra since 2015, recently I wonder how the game has been going for far too long and so many complaints on Steam about bugs not being fixed. So I decided to give the Alpha a try. It was funny in the character creation when I have my slider all they to max FAT and having him spawned with just a pants. But as soon as I enter the world, I understand why the game takes far so long. It is eeextremely gorgeous! As a fellow developer, I understand how much effort the team has put into this game. Looking at the to-do list, it will be another year until the base game is stable, and then further content can be added. But I dare say this game definitely still holds its potential that I saw back in Kickstarter.

As for those who also wonder why such long development time, I would say it took Path of Exile almost a decade to get to where it is now. PoE was pretty bland during its Beta phase and the following years as well. Until much later it gained popularity in 2016 and had a growth spurt to scale up and expands to its current state. So just be patient, this game is guaranteed to be a hit in its current direction. If you could, you should consider to support Wolcen and think of this as an investment.

P/S: I would love to have the camera rotation binds to some hotkeys in addition of dragging with the mouse, that should make the gameplay smoother in my opinion.

Do you worship RNGesus?

If yes, then this game is for you. All hail RNGesus!

No? You better pray, and be good at that. A minor tip: make him an altar at home and he will grant you more favors.

On a more serious note, always be prepared for hell to fall on you. At some point if you think your party cannot make it, just fall back. “There is no shame in strategic retreat if it lets you remain strong enough to go after the enemy later.”

Beware the campaign is not meant to be played alone. Great multiplayer game, I was having a blast playing this with friends.

The only must have DLC is the Terrain Specialist Pack, can literally ignore everything else. But if you want you can grab other DLCs for more toys to play with, or rather to "mistakenly" kill your friends in many other various ways.

Beware, only fun playing with people. A hidden gem for multiplayer game, test your team ability to co-op. It only takes one second and one stupid action to ruin the whole heist. To summarize, a roleplaying Payday with 2D graphic and no level system.

Hardcore restaurant simulation game. Be prepared to break your keyboard, and did I mention try to not fry your brain on the run?

Give a big bravo to Paradox to create such a great game as CK2. The game is really well maintained and keep getting good DLCs. In fact, the DLCs are both a plus and minus as there are too many to choose from and they increase the price to be able to fully experience the game. But there are many sales going on nowadays, so grab them when they are on sale.

For the knowledge, I learned and also messed a lot with the world history, from the Viking Age to the collapse of the Ottoman Empire.

The game is big hit for people who like strategy, medieval, immersion, and lineage. On the grand scale, you can conquest and pave your way through the world as we knew it. On smaller scale, you have to plot the way to make the best heir in line to be the best, true survival of the fittest.

Guess what happens when the game end? You can migrate the save file and continue your rule in EU IV, another Paradox grand strategy game takes place in the next era. Amazing!
