Nightdive do a good job with these remasters, there's no denying.

This game is a real stinker. I do appreciate that it's available in a good condition for people who liked it back in the day, but for me who hadn't played it before... It's just awful.

I got about 4 levels in, then I got knocked really far back and fell down into a hole that blasted me with fart noises.

I think ending my time with this game inside the fart pit is completely understandable.

Tactical shooter roguelike sort of game, lots of tension, surprises and crispy combat.
Optimisation could be much better, as I get around 80FPS in apartments at 1440p with an RTX4090 + 9800x3D, but the game is so good I can look past it.

It's CHEAP get it or suffer from your lack of fun games in your library.

The Atom doesn't fall far from the tree with this one - whatever that could possibly mean I just wanted to make a joke honestly. Now look at me, floundering to try and salvage it.

It's not working! You know what does work though? This game! Runs well, looks decent and is stable!

The rest of the game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful though, enemy AI shoots you through bushes, nothing except one brand of specific grass will conceal you. Any game with lots of foliage that the enemies can see straight through is AWFUL and you should be ashamed that you just released the game with so much anti-fun in it that it might as well be a £40 hammer taken to my testicles.

I don't even want to talk about this game it's so boring and bland. It's a bit like Bioshock if Bioshock had a semi-open world and was terrible and I want to take a hammer to my testicles. I mean I don't want to take a hammer to my testicles, but if I did I'd certainly fall far from the tree with this one!

Currently, no.
Future? Sure!

It's very much one of those "learn to like it" sort of games, I love an imsim and this gave me DX1 vibes, I liked that I could climb up stuff, use augments to approach situations, all very neat. Hacking is really cool too!
I didn't like how often it felt like playing a multiplayer Gmod map all by myself, however. I'm all for dystopian open areas, but when a good 90% of the areas are dystopian open areas with *nothing in them* with limited "faster sprint" due to it using energy, you start to lose me a bit.

Shooting is functional, aiming is annoying as it has the seperate camera movement on the arms and not just the camera. Maybe there's a setting to change this, but I'm mixed on how much I like this. On one hand, it makes the combat more challenging and that's cool, on the other hand, it makes aiming more annoying as you try to line up a headshot just for your whole ass gun to continually get in the way.

I remember playing the demo of this ages ago, and I thought it was really cool. This release wasn't enjoyable for me, and I'm pretty bummed about it. Maybe I'll try again after some updates + discount.

Christ. Unless you really like Touhou music, this is some boringly presented, easy slop.

Hell yeah! It's modernised Wolf3D that doesn't have boring levels!
If you like Wolfy, you'll like this! If you don't like this and you like Wolfy? Then you're wrong. I'm sorry. Sorry that you're so wrong.

A game plagued by everything running at a different framerate, from camera to character model, unplayable stuttery mess at 60fps, even worse higher.

A game that's the equivalent of eating an entire unseasoned dry turkey. Where's the variety? Not here, currently.
March 2025 update: Still the same, still boring and unsatisfying.

OOOOOOOOO you got a good feeling game here. Some minor gripes with the flipping controls if you set it up like SSX as you just start flipping if you're holding a direction when you go over a slight bump (would prefer to have to press jump mid air like SSX), but otherwise the framework of a true SSX (spiritual)sequel is here. Can't wait to see more. Only 2 tracks and 2 events so far, but it's cheap.
